Dear mum & dad,

I hope everything is going to plan back on the farm & everyone is keeping well.I'm enjoying my work & being away from the village. Here; I am treated like everyone else. Here; I am more relaxed, I'm happy & I wish you could be happy too.I understand, I know why you disapprove, but I cannot lie & must inform you of the fact I continue to see Trixie.I love her.I know you advise I break it off before things get serious. You say it is wrong & believe our being together will never work, but it is working, we've been together for over five years.I've found my someone & believe that without her; I am nothing.I want Trixie to be forever in my life & intend to ask Miss Trixie Juliet Hampshire to be my lawfully wedded wife.Your permission to marry would mean a lot, I will bring Trixie the next time I visit.

I was both shocked & sorry to hear about what happened. I understand why you felt I should be told, I've always known Luna is different, disabled you said, not illegitimate.I see the difficulties which our being husband & wife may cause, but no amount of reasoning, no threats & no amount of blackmail will change my mind, or my feelings. I love Trixie & I hope you will love her too.I need you to meet her. Hope to hear from you soon.

Yours Jackal Zeeb Wood

Educated, from being a boy lost within what he struggled to understand, he was now a man living the life he wanted to live.Independent and proud, he was surviving in a world others said he would never survive in.A fitness instructor, a businessman and manager in training, Jackal Zeeb Wood was happy, there was just one aspect of his life he felt needed to be addressed. Seeing his future with the woman he loved, he needed the support of his family to put his life plan into action and have all he desired fall into place. With each and every note he posted, he hoped a more possessive reply would be received,'Five years?'Jackal, who preferred to go by the name Jax, worried the person he loved; wouldn't stay around for very much longer if he failed to prove his commitment.Five years? He knew he should count himself lucky that someone like Trixie had stayed by his side for so long.

Together, a couple, one boy and one girl, two who were different enjoying all the things which made them the same.

"I love you."

"I love you too. Thanks for a lovely evening."Did she? The truth was, he was her man, her hero and her best-friend.'Her boyfriend?'In him she believed she'd found her soulmate because in him she saw her everything. Was this him telling her he felt the same?

"Trixie, I need to ask you a question?"What could be so important to require permission?

"Of course."How could she ignore his request now he had her undivided attention and intrigue?

"If I was to ask, would you marry me?"Never had he sounded so serious.'Had she heard him correctly?'

"Are you asking?"'Was he?'She hoped he was.

"I want to, but."He shook his head."It isn possible"

"Not possible?"How could him asking a question not be possible?"I don't understand?"Feeling her heart flutter like a trapped butterfly struggling to open its' wings, she went from elated to flat in the blink of an eye. Like a rose opening its' petals towards the sun; only to have the bright warming rays overshadowed by the darkest of clouds, Trixie felt her beating heart begin to open; only to close tight shut with a thud.'What was he doing & what was he saying?'

"You haven't met my family."What he said was true, 'Did it matter?'Never had he given any indication of his family loyalty."You meeting them is a tradition."'Odd?' Many to have encountered the male with the strange and unusual name; referred to him as being odd and different, peculiar, could it be that he was a traditionalist?'Was Jackal Zeeb Wood an old fashioned boy at heart?'
