"Uhm, Americano Tall for Sir Andrew!" I called out to the crowd and a blonde american man stood and started walking towards me. I gave him his coffee and gave him a warm smile which he returned immediately.
Right after the man took a few steps away from the counter, my phone vibrated from my pocket and I immediately took it out because I was expecting a call from my boyfriend who I had a fight with. Glad to see his number on the screen, I showed my co-worker Chanyeol who was calling and he told me to go ahead and take it so I took off and hid myself at the storage room where the smell of coffee was instense that it makes me want to get myself buried here when I die. I pressed "Answer" and held the phone against my ear, excited to hear his voice in the line. Sehun and I had a big fight in which we both didn't know what was the reason and why we did so. It just happened and he ended up saying really hurtful words to me and I refused to talk to him for two days and living under the same roof with him must have drove him crazy. I mean it drove me crazy, but I simply couldn't let my pride down. It's a side of me I sometimes can't deny and a side we both had and he was the one who's wrong. Our relationship was vicious, but at the same time our hearts were hungry for each other.
I took a deep breath before saying, "Hey."
I know it was shitty of me to say just "Hey" but thousands of words were swimming in my head and "Hey" was all I could blurt out. I did wanted to say sorry and that I miss him, but I wanted to hear it from him first. He was in the wrong and both of us knew that I was the girl of this homosexual relationship of ours.
"Hey, Baekhyun." And then there it was. His voice that I didn't hear for two days now sending shivers down my spine. "Can we talk?" Something was wrong. His voice was rough and dry and it sounded like he choked them out.
"Have you been crying?" I asked bluntly with the feeling of guilt eating me from the inside. "Fine, we can talk but not right now."
I took a seat at the wooden chair my eyes landed on and took something out of my pocket. A ring that cost almost a year of my life's work to finally propose to Sehun. I smiled as I stared at the ring like an idiot that I didn't even notice him speaking over the line.
"Are you still there? Baekhyun?"
"Yeah, sorry I was distracted." I replied and tucked the ring deep into my pocket. "You were saying?"
"I said I'll come to you later. Don't go anywhere." He said. "I"m hanging up now."
"Wait!" I literally yelled that I covered my mouth afterwards. "I- I love you."
And then that's that. He hang up without even bothering to say that he loves me too. Well, both of us have jobs and I guess he's just busy with his own business. Jumping into another issue would be another fight for the two of us and I could seriously lose him this time. Not when I'm finally marrying this bastard.
"오백현 (Oh Baekhyun)." I mumbled to myself and I can't help my self but blush and giggle at the thought. "Aigoo it sounds better than I thought!" I sighed and finally went back to work with Chanyeol.
It was silent between the two of us and just taking orders from the customers that are just coming one after another. Since we sell the best coffee around town, people who have night jobs come here more before the clock hits six to get some coffee and the time right now is 5:45 P.M. so we have a lot of customers right now that all the seats are occupied and some has to stand up to wait for their order. Looking at them makes me feel more tired than I already am so I focused at doing my job and patiently waited for nine o'clock to come so I can finally leave my shift.
Just when the rush started to die down a little after a couple of hours, Chanyeol started giving me weird looks and smiles that I started to get bothered.
