(Vanah Claudae's P.O.V)
I woke up to the sound of somebody playing a violin rather violently. Olivia probably, I thought. She can be such a nuthead at times! Like who would play their violin at 6 am? I got down and walked toward the door, turning back to put on my slippers. They were little whales that matched with my navy blue pajamas. I loved the coziness of our house, decorated with red and green streamers from a birthday party a few days ago. The racket of Olivias violin got louder as I came closer to the living room. I went for the door but slipped on a rubber snake and fell smack on my face on a giant teddy bear which had those thingies in them, where they make a sound. A loud sound. HONK!
"AHHHHHH, ghost! Ghost! Ghost!" screamed Olivia, dropping her violin onto the brown leather sofa beside her.
"Oh, come on. You knew it was me! Do you really want to wake up the whole house?" I said.
" I did not know it was you," Olivia replied taking her violin and brushing 'dust' off of it.
"Yeah right! And anyways what are you doing down here at this time? The suns barely out." I said yawning.
"I think you forgot that I have auditions for that play today," she answered.
"Which pl-- oh yeah, Geranimo Big and Bright."
"Gianimo not Geramanimo," she said glaring at me.
"Whatever," I replied heading for the door, making sure I didn't trip over the toys this time.
"Vanah," Olivia said in a rather quiet voice. She sounded scared and hesitant, and that scared me, because she was usaully the opposite.
"Yes?"
"This morning at around 4 I saw Mr.Channing head out with Ella. They had luggages." she said.
I looked at her for a minute and sighed.
"We'll be fine. Its not the first time"
"But whos gonna take me to the theater for auditions?" Olivia whined.
"Olivia! I'm here aren't I? And so is Marla. Go back to bed! You need more sleep than practice if you wanna get the part." I replied, irritated.
I stormed back to my room trying to hide my anger from Olivia who was right behind me. I hoped she understood I wasn't mad at her, I was mad at that old hag, Willis Channing. He was a meanie for leaving us here again and going off with his 19 year old daughter to their house in Hanningberg where Mrs. Holly Channing lived.
I plopped onto my bed, trying to get back into my comfy dark blue comforters.
Mr. Channing's daughter was the worsted snob you could name. Ella Channing was only a year older than me yet she acted like she was already a settled in mother of five. She loved to show off her golden hair and freshly painted nails to me. She loved to brag about her spoiled boyfriend, Ross, and her new Gucci bag or the time she apparently met Brittney Spears. I think she thinks of us as slaves just because Mr. Channing took us up when he shut down his orphanage that we were in. He only took us up because the authorities said he couldn't just shut down the orphanage and leave us here. He and Ella always treated us as filthy strangers as if he didn't snatch away our home from us. But we weren't filthy and poor. Olivia and I were actually pretty rich on our own because Mr.Channing was in debt to our father; so along with us living free in his house we got around $2500 a month, which me and Olivia used wisely and saved. Mr. Channing was in huge debt and everybody new that, yet he still had the guts to throw us around. I hated him.

When i woke up 2 hours later Olivia was yet again practicing, this time on our bed, right beside me. The music didn't bother me much because she was actually playing nicely. I guess she was too sleepy to do anything a while ago which was why she sounded so bad. I got up and went to the restroom to freshen up. After brushing my teeth I went back into my room to get my clothes and towel and I took a warm shower.

"Olivia, did you take a shower yet?" I yelled from the restroom.

"No," she replied.

Great, now I'd be ready for taking her to the auditions before her and I'd have to sit around while she took her usaul long shower.
After I was done I wore a nice blue dress. The top was like an upside down "V" and the cloth under the front collar tucked under my arms and back up my back fastening to the back of my collar. The design of this dress showed of my bony shoulders and arms.I dried my hair and put it into a single french braid to my left side.
When I got out I took Olivias violin from her so she would get in the shower. I then put on some leather boots and went for a walk with my dog, Max. He was the sweetest little golden retriever anyone could own and probably the best thing I had ever had. I would probably be back before Olivia was out, thats how long she took. Max was happy for a walk, i guess, because he was litteraly pulling me along. I had to quickly put my phone back in my pocket before it fell out of my hand.
Suddenly, Max got faster and faster and he kept running. It was a goodthing his leash was tightly in my hand or I would have lost him long back.
