Chapter Six

Miley's Pov:

I opened my eyes to sunlight shining through a window. I knew I didn't have a window near my bed and looked behind me. Roman slept beside me with his arm around my waist! I suddenly remembered why I was in his room and a blush colored my cheeks.

"I better get into my room before I get caught," I thought and tried to ease out from under Roman's arm. It tightened around me and I heard Roman mumble,"Where do ya think you're going baby?" I sighed. "I need to get ready for school Roman now turn me loose!" I hissed.

"Maybe I don't want to let you go." That one sentence stopped me in my tracks. I turned and looked at Roman and he had this sad look in his eyes. "What's the matter baby?" I asked him. "I'm just gonna miss you that's all," he said in this wistful voice.

I felt my heart tighten when he said that. I realized I was gonna miss him too while I was at school. I sat up and looked at him. "I'll only be gone for a few hours. You can text me if you want. And I'll call you at lunch," I said. "Plus I'm getting all of your homework assignments so you can keep your 4.0 grade point average up," I said

Roman looked at me as he leaned back on his pillows with his arms behind his head. "Ok baby," he said. I stood up and grabbed my nightgown off of the floor. "I'll come kiss you goodbye before I leave ok?" I said tracing his jaw with a fingertip. He kissed my finger then smiled. "Ok sexy," he said as he shut his eyes.

I went to the door and was about to leave when he opened his eyes again. "Wait baby come back here," he said and I walked back over to his side. He stood up and pulled me close then he covers my lips with his in a sweet tender kiss. "Every kiss we share is sweeter than the last. I hope we never stop," he said. "Never," I promised him. Then he let me go and I went to take a shower.

I took my shower and dressed in a short jeans skirt and a neon pink cami under a white short sleeved button down shirt. I blow dried my hair and pull it into a messy bun and clip it in place with a pink hair clip.

I did my makeup then sprayed my favorite perfume on. I pulled on a pair of hot pink and white Sketchers then grabbed my purse and backpack and headed downstairs to the kitchen. Brie and Daddy were sitting at the table drinking coffee and reading the morning paper.

I sat down with a chocolate chip muffin and some orange juice. "Morning princess," Daddy said smiling at me. "Morning Daddy. Morning Brie," I said smiling at them. "Good morning Miley. Roman still asleep?" Brie asked me and I nodded. "He was waking up as I was getting ready so he might be down soon," I said.

Five minutes later, Roman came downstairs. His hair was damp from his shower and he wore jeans and a Tampa Bay Rays t shirt. "Morning Mom and Shawn. Hey Miley," he said as he got a bowl of Frosted Flakes. "Morning Roman. I have things for you to do today so don't think you're gonna laze around while suspended," Brie said to him. "Ok Mom," he said and started eating.

I ate my muffin as I watched Roman eat his cereal. Even early in the morning he looked ready for a romp in the sheets. A drop of milk settled into the corner of his mouth and I couldn't help staring at it.

Roman looked up at me. "Why are you staring at me like that?" he said softly. I reached over and wiped the milk drop from the corner of his mouth. He caught my hand before I pulled it away and pressed a quick kiss to the palm.

I smiled at him then finished my muffin. I set my glass into the dishwasher then grabbed my backpack and purse. "Bye Daddy bye Brie see you after school!" I called and headed for the front door. Roman followed me out to my car. He helped me put my backpack into the backseat then he pulled me to him. "Let me know if any guys try anything with you ok? Oh and I asked Seth and Dean to watch over you in my absence," he said.

"Ok Roman I will and thanks," I said. I turned to get in the car when he stopped me and kissed me long and hard. "I'll miss you. I'll be thinking about you all day and counting the minutes until I see you again," he said. "I'll be doing the same thing Roman. And I'll be missing you too so much," I said as I got into the car. I started it and blew him a kiss as I pulled out and headed to school.

Roman's Pov:

I watched her leave and sighed. I already missed her. I went back into the house and Mom stood there with a list of chores for me to do. I took the list and looked it over. "Geez Mom am I gonna have time to do homework later?" I asked.

"Yes if you get to work fast," she said as she grabbed her purse. "Shawn and I are going out. You are not to leave this house understand?" Mom said. "I know Mom I'm 18 not 8," I snipped and she shot me a look. "You're not 18 til May," she said. "And watch the attitude." She and Shawn left and I started cleaning the garage. At least I could think about Miley as I worked.

I worked for three hours straight without stopping then I walked inside for a drink. I grabbed a can of Coke from the fridge and popped the top gulping half the can in one swallow.

I finished the soda and tossed the can into the recycling bin near the back door then checked my chore list. "Rake leaves in front yard" was the next thing so I grabbed the rake and started working.

I got all the chores done just as Mom Shawn and Miley all came home. I saw tears in Miley's eyes and instantly knew something had happened. I would have to wait to find out later.
