"What do you mean, shipment NaF9 is going to be delayed? We've been planning and waiting for six months!"
"Well, you see sir. We've been having trouble with her- she was a lot more tricky to handle- and the Amazon Government wants to legally register her, since she was an Uncaptured." Replied the deliveryman in charge of bringing NaF9 to the Pandora Sanctuary.
"And how long is this going to take?" The Director sighed impatiently, rubbing the bridge of his nose in frustration. "I want her here as quickly as possible. Subject NaM14 is getting more and more aggressive to the Caretakers."
"It might take a few weeks sir. They want to run tests and such before they let her go." The delivery man replied. The Director was silent as he mulled over everything. It was only a few weeks. NaM14 would have to wait until NaF9 came then.
"Fine. Let them give her tests. But call me when you are allowed to leave." The Director grumbled before hanging up, scribbling down some notes and dates on a month planner beside him.
"Just fucking perfect." He spat lowly to himself, as he wrote down more notes. A loud and sharp buzzing noise echoed in his office. Pressing a button, he answered.
"What is it? I'm not in a good mood so spit it out." The Director snapped, all but glaring at the receiver box.
"Sir! the Cagers have caught a cervitaur, and have brought her into holding. She is a beauty, sir-"
"Is it Intelligent?" The Director interrupted, not caring about what the scientist had to say.
"Well, we haven't got the chance to test on her sir-"
"Send it to NaM14's cell. He hasn't been fed in a while." The Director said in slight frustration. It was rare to find a cervitaur with Intelligence. Most sanctuaries would let them go, but the Director didn't bother- after all, why breed more creatures to be dumber when you can get the ones with Intelligence and gain the big bucks?
"But sir, are you sure abo-"
"That was an order! Send it to NaM14." The Director said, before turning off the receiver, mood somehow worse. At least Nam14 was fed for the month.
Little did he know that this was the start of it all.
