Walking through a store
Not sure which door
So many choices
And unfamiliar voices
You don't know a soul
You're looking for control
But you don't know who to choose
You're afraid you'll lose
In a world where security
Is merely an illusion
There's often no maturity
And you'll be confusion
But after all we must learn
That heartbreak does burn
There's a fire deep inside
That wants to be your guide
But you don't pay attention
What's the point in prevention
So you pick the one that's wrong
Thinking they are strong
Not knowing how long it will last
Already it seems the moments past
Everything went too fast
And now the feelings are faded
And life is merely jaded
