It had been the first time Paul had thought about her in a while, and Embry just happened to be in his head.

Once Embry saw her face, he sifted through Pauls mind, memorizing her laugh and the twinkle in her eyes on a sunny day.

Paul had done some major damage on Embry. Part of him felt bad since he was just coming to terms with what he was, but he wasn't allowed to think about Molly.

If Embry was going to imprint on Molly, Paul was determined to kill him before it happened.

"She's gorgeous. I need to meet her. And that laugh? She's perfect."

"Shut up Embry."

"Sorry. I didn't know you could here my thoughts."

"I can hear everything."

"oh."

"yeah. So stop thinking or I'll beat your ass again."

Sam had shown up just in time to reason with Paul.

"Embry isn't going to imprint on your memory of Molly. It doesn't work like that."

"You don't know that for sure though."

"I don't even really know what imprinting is."

"Why don't you sift through Sam's mind then, since you're so good at doing that."

"oh. that"

"Seriously. I'm going to kill you."

"Go home and get some sleep Paul, you look like shit. And Embry, stay out of Paul's way for a while."

Paul calmed down quickly once he had played down in bed. He was getting so much better at handling his temper these days. He wished Molly was here to see how good he was.

But Molly was back at school now, and she was doing good too, and things were different now.
