THEA

Toledo, Ohio

"Who the hell are you?", Dean cries out in frustration, finally coming face to face with the mysterious woman who seems to be everywhere.

She looks down at Dean, studying his blood-soaked face, "my name is Thea Harper."

Thea was suddenly very nervous, she had waltzed into the antique shop with all the confidence in the world, which she could only muster when facing the supernatural, but, now that was she was face-to-face with the man who could see her she was filled with head-to-toe butterflies. All her previous confidence had flown out the window the moment she laid eyes on him. He was still handsome, even with the blood dripping down his face. His green eyes were filled with confusion and frustration. He wanted to know more about her, she realised. For some reason this thought sent even more butterflies into her stomach.

The three hunters stood in silence. It seemed to Thea that none of them knew what to say next, that none of them had been in this type of situation before. Thea cleared her throat, the sound resounding in the silent room. She felt uncomfortable with both men's attention on her. Sam was looking at her in bewilderment while Dean was looking at her in fascination. Sam who seemed to sense her discomfort cleared his throat as well before speaking.

"Uhhh, thank you. Thank you, you just saved our lives. So... uhh... thank you," he says, trailing off as he catches Dean staring at this woman like he'd never seen Dean stare at a woman before.

Sam nudges Dean and Dean shakes his head to clear his thoughts.

"You're welcome," she mumbles, looking down at the ground.

"Okay, so, I'm gonna ask again, who are you? Because I've been seeing you everywhere. Are you a hunter?", Dean finally breaks the awkward silence, his voice harsh.

"Like I said, my name is Thea and yes, I'm a hunter. Who are you?", Thea's voice had risen, it still didn't quite mirror Dean's though.

"The name's Dean, this here is my brother Sam and we're hunters too."

"Ohhh brothers!", Thea exclaims to herself, "I thought you were like hunting buddies. No, brothers makes a lot more sense. You care about each other too much to just be friends."

"Wait," Sam starts, looking over at Dean in realisation, "this is the woman you saw at the hospital?"

Dean nods his head and snorts, "and you said I was imagining things."

Sam turns to Dean an exasperated look on his face, "I keep telling you Dean there was no one on that bench..."

Dean opens his mouth to start arguing with his brother when Thea interrupts them.

"Actually, you're both right," she says quietly.

Both brothers looked at her in bewilderment, "what?", they both shout.

"Well, technically, you are both right. I was on the bench, like Dean said, but Sam couldn't see me either. You're both right, you see."

"I don't understand. We're both right? I don't get it. You weren't on that bench, I didn't see you," Sam says.

"I know and that was completely normal. In fact, it's Dean that I don't understand."

"What do you mean?", Dean questions.

"Well, it's a long story, but basically I have a gift, let's call it," she says, unsure of whether she should tell the brothers too much. Although a part of her wanted to trust them, she was reluctant to let go of her instincts to run.
