Preface: I think I need to be stopped. I definitely need to be stopped.
It was dark again, again the taste of blood rose up into her mouth and once more a single figure stood in front of her. Upon a second look at the terrifying creature, was actually a dummy. The room in which they appeared to be, was very large and full of random objects, all of which seemed to be designed to support extended life in the room. To the end of being distracted from contemplating the room further, and to avoid another massive defeat, Frisk began training. The hours turned to days, the days into weeks, the weeks into months, until finally, unbeknownst to her, the months progressed into a year. The time had slipped by, and a familiar voice could be heard "Ok I'm going to let you out now, assuming you're still alive and not insane." The door, a large cold steel one that resembled a bowl, swung open. Alphys was standing on the othe side of the door and began to elaborate on the situation "You we just in my accelerated chronology facility for a day, which as you should have felt as a year. Before you ask how it works, I'll explain. In areas of extremely dense magical energy, time slows down. I got the idea from these, - she pointed to a full collection of the 'Discworld'* novels- they were written by a human fantasy writer, who apparently wanted their more realistic parts to be accurate." Frisk climbed out of the room, and gave alphys an inquisitive look. They went on " As for when I said you might be insane or dead, It turns out that when you're alone in extremely dense magic zones, it can do bad things to your brain.... and every other part of you." They then began attaching sensors to Frisk. A short while later, they gave a puzzled look and spoke again "these readings don't make sense. My vibration detector is picking up a way bigger energy mass around your soul than my power scanner suggests. Clearly at least one of them's broken and I can't tell which, even my broken equipment detector says nothing's broken so that's broken too!" They then began pacing up and down in frustration. Frisk spent a few moments recollecting her earlier match with the android, and no sooner had she remembered how it was she survived, the door to the lab opened.

*before you get indignant about the reference, in this universe the timeline is how I want it to be, and it was just a throwaway joke. I will make a saiyantale qna later and explain the history in that, as well as in later chapters.
