"The Botanist's Club Official Diary Day 2:

"I've been looking around this safe that it seems we'll have to call our home for the next while and I've noticed that we were left with some sort of communication device to contact the higher ups who put us here for the moment. At first I was planning on using it to ask for more water and food but I was interrupted by one of the other club members screaming into it and yelling at the government. In fact, I feel strangely calm and collected today. It's almost as if I've just accepted that this is where I'll be. With these crazy botanist's growing plants using some kind of energy source. The only problem is air really; if we had enough space to grow a tree or some big plant it could really help us. Potatoes and some tomatoes are fine and all but for the rest of my life I'll definitely need something more. Currently the government is pumping air through a hole in the bottom.

Funny story about that hole actually, we didn't realize what it was there for until one person jumped in and we all began to suffocate. Luckily the person who jumped in noticed that too and we all had a big laugh about it too. Yeah, ■■■■■■ can be pretty annoying at times but it's good to have some energy in the place. It feels so cramped if we didn't have anyone bringing up the mood we would probably just be sleeping the whole time during the experiment. Well, it's finally my turn on the government communication device so I'll continue writing tomorr-"

Day 2 cuts out with a swivel of ink and Plum claps down the book onto the wooden table that can barely support the books weight. In fact, that's part of the reason Plum doesn't enjoy reading the book for long it's surprisingly big and heavy. But, she has no time for reading right now anyways in the town square they are about to unveil what the official name for the town is going to be. Hopefully in the big vote reveal the blue imp will also talk about what the government seemed to say on those speakers. Or was she the only one who heard it? It's a question that she'll figure out later. Bringing it up with Geoffrey alone was not something she wanted to do; hearing about what the government wants to do with us could be too scarring. It was clear that he didn't listen to it originally anyways, Plum believes it's better she doesn't tell.

"Are you doing alright Plum?" Timothy asks, munching on a baguette he had bought in the town market. Timothy had noticed Plum put down the book and had started staring blankly at one of the wooden walls of the hut. Geoffrey was still out right now so maybe it was better that she tell him now. "You've been staring at that wall for a while now."

"Were you listening to the speakers earlier. You know, when we were going on that little camping trip near the tree," Plum asked.

"I wasn't listening to the speakers during that; no. But, that reminds me of a time I went camping in the middle of the desert and eventually found an oasis where I made a fire out of palm trees. Boy, was that a blast!"

"Well the speakers said something quite important for the both of us,"

"Really, what's that?"

All of a sudden the trumpets sounded and everyone was herded to come to the town square for the official unveiling of the new name for the town. Everyone was a bit giddy about it. It was more fun for the townsfolk to choose a name for where they lived than choose a leader so they had decided to do that first. It was much more interesting too as many people wrote their own name suggestions at the bottom. Here are some of the best "Energy Bonanza City" "Power Palace" "New New Jersey". In fact for the late voters they even put "New New Jersey" as an official answer, but it sadly did not win. Now, everybody was gathered in front of the town square where they all were ready to hear the official name and the blue imp stood on the stone pedestal.

"It is time to unveil the new name for The Botanist's Club. It's right in this envelope," the blue imp told the town. The blue imp already knew the new name of the town but everybody knew that if they had a big envelope unveiling everyone would get more excited. "Everybody welcome to Forestville!"

The crowd went wild hearing the name and Plum stood cross armed waiting for the announcement talking about the apparent planned assassination of those still living here without powers but an announcement like that never came. The closest thing they got was a short post-vote reception party with a big banner in a tiny quartz hut, but if you weren't on the waiting list it was likely already too full for you to talk with anybody in there. Of course there wasn't anything against entering since this new society was still developing laws but Plum simply wouldn't fit with how crowded it was. Plum didn't want to talk with anyone she just wanted to sit there on the log bench and think about what was about to happen. Little did she know, she didn't have that much time to wait.

*Ding*

The black elevator went down a floor below where it usually is allowed to and landed with a thud at the muddy murky ground Forestville had gained over it's short existence. Inside the elevator were monsters created through tests and training made to be the most powerful out of all those afflicted with the transformation toxin. Yet, even with all that power they were made and grown to go after only those with no powers, to eliminate those people first. That was the plan after all. To completely alter all of society besides those changing it in the first place and if there were still those unaffected living among them then it was pointless.

The elevator doors opened and Plum's eyes widened looking at the creatures coming out of the elevator.
