"What do you mean I'm a princess?!" She yells jumping up and pacing.
"Ebony when Mace gets here I will--" the door opens revealing a tall man. He wears a suit and cloak. He looks like something out of a Harry Potter movie.
"Ebony... Ebony, I... I..." The man is mumbling the moment his eyes meet Ebony's. Ebony remembers a dream from long ago.
She stood in a room. the walls were pink, decorations of flowers covered the room. A mother sat in a rocking chair holding a young child close. A young boy, no older than 3 stood, leaning on the chair looking at the baby. A man walks in the room holding a bottle and he hands it to the woman. The man looks like the man who walked into the room, but he looks younger.
"This is your sister Thomas. She is so quiet." Says the mother.
"Do we have to keep her or can we return her." Say the young boy Thomas.
"We have to keep her." says the mother giggling at this comment.
The fathers eyes glint. "She must grow up not knowing. Thomas, you must pretend that magic is not real."
"Why? She is just like me." The boy says confused.
"Um...." The man fumbles, "it will scare poor Ebony..."
The dream is just a memory, as it has been for 2 years.
The man rushes toward Ebony. He wraps both arms around her. Ebony is scared but the man seems to know her as does everyone else so she lets it last.
When he pulls out Teller starts, "Mace, she doesn't know you."
He sits next to Ebony, his hands shaking fiercely.
"Ebony," his eyes sparkle, "so you are a princess. You are part of a world was taken from you a year ago. Your name is Ebony, so your a princess. All of our names give us power. Mine is teller. I can...." He stops.
"He can erase people's minds." says Dru. "I can heal people and animals."
"I am Valencia, I can tear apart someone limb by limb. I am a warrior." says Valencia. Ebony's arms grow full of goosebumps.
"You, Ebony, have the power to convince people. You can tell someone to eat a bowl of soup and they will. I mean anything you want." says Dru.
"How come it hasn't worked before?" asks ebony. Everyone looks at Teller and Mace. "Did I say something...?"
"No, well, yes but not as far as you know." She looks at Teller, "do you want us to say something?"
"She deserves to know who took her memories." says Teller, "But I tell her. Only me." he looks nervous, his face pale and his eyes big and glassy. Everyone gets up but Teller and Ebony. Once they leave Teller starts "Let's begin."
