Summer sank to her knees and began to sob. Her girlfriend was dead. She was gone and Summer would never see her again. She cried for hours, not moving from the corner next to the front door. Miley was gone.
Summer stood alone at the funeral. She saw Miley's family, all standing together, crying into each other's shoulders. She longed for that, longed for someone to lean on, but her family wasn't there. They'd probably be happy Miley was dead. She tried to say something eloquent about Miley, something that would stay in everyone's hearts, but she didn't even get through three sentences before beginning to cry.
Summer began to notice things a few months later. She noticed the obituary in the newspaper said that she died in a car crash but Miley had walked to the store that day. She noticed that other people with Miley's rare blood type had been dying mysterious deaths and going missing. She noticed that it wasn't the police that had told her about Miley's death but people in suits and sunglasses. She noticed that one of her neighbors had seen Miley walk into the grocery store but never come out. She noticed that a van in the back of the grocery store had loaded a large crate into it a few minutes after Miley walked in. She noticed that this grocery store didn't do deliveries but received them. She noticed that Miley could've been unconscious in that crate. Summer noticed Miley could be alive.
So this is the first glimpse of this story! I hope at least one person will read this. I have the whole story outlined but still probably won't update super often. Bye for now! - MH
