Miley pulled her head back and looked at Summer. They were both crying but for the first time in a long time, the tears were of joy. Summer leaned her forehead against Miley's and ran her fingers through her hair. She had a lot of questions but they weren't important right then. She had to get both of them out of there.
"Miley, we have to get out of here. If we can get into that vent, we're good. I'll give you a lift and then you pull me up, okay?" Miley gave her a determined smile and nodded. Summer knelt down and Miley stepped up onto her shoulders, pulling herself into the vent. She was about to pull Summer up but paused.
"Crap!" She hissed under her breath. "There are guards coming! But how did they-" She looked around the cell for a moment before finding what she was looking for. There was a tiny camera hidden in the light. She made a rude hand gesture at it before grabbing Summer. The guards were now close enough for Summer to hear their quickly approaching footsteps. There was something other than their clunky boots. The click-clack of stilleto heels. Miley hoisted Summer into the vent in the nick of time. The woman made eye contact with Summer for a split second before she began crawling away as fast as she could. That split second gave her chills. The woman radiated cold and hate. Bullets began to pierce the metal they were climbing through, narrowly missing them. They finally got to the tunnel Summer had dug in. They crawled for what felt like ages until they saw the light from the other side and pushed themselves through.
"Come on!" Summer yelled, waving Miley towards a bright red motorcycle with a sidecar. She tossed Miley one of the two helmets she had in the sidecar and put the other one on herself. Miley hopped in the sidecar and Summer took off. Miley whooped for joy with the wind in her hair. She was finally free. Summer went as fast as she could, back to Weston. She got to the house of the waiter who had let her borrow his motorcycle and keep her camper in his driveway. She skidded to a halt and they jumped off and threw the helmets back into the sidecar. Miley followed Summer into the camper and they were on the road.
