Taishi-sama and the Noh Player Chapter 7 : The Day of Chaos

Exam has arrived, and so everyone studied hard. After the exam, which lasted a week, everyone recieved their results. Kokoro's grade improved a lot thanks to Miko, and Miko is always the number one.
After taking the results, everyone gets a holiday for 3 weeks. Miko wanted to use this advantage to cancel the proposal, so he invited Kokoro to visit his family with him. Kokoro gladly accepts.
Kokoro: When we'll be going?
Miko: Tomorrow. Early in the morning.
Kokoro: But won't we need Futo again to help us?
Miko: That might not be a problem anymore. I have sent a letter to my father to lend me a ride to across the island.
Kokoro: My, it must be easy being a Taishi-sama like you, huh?
Miko: Not really. Sleep well, Kokoro.
Miko: *giggles* you too...

Seiga: So he wants to visit his family tomorrow?
Yoshika: Hhrrr... yes...
Seiga: Fufu... this should make my business easy. But I know for sure that he won't marry me, so I need help. Yoshika, gather up plants on this island and return it to me. I am going to make a "remedy".
Yoshika: Hrr... yes...!!

The next day, Miko and Kokoro went on a boat ride and made it to their destination.
Miko: Kokoro, we are here.
Kokoro: Woah! This is your palace?? It's so big!
Miko: Yes. Now, let us meet my father, shall we?
Kokoro: Uh... okay.

The two are completely unaware with Seiga and Yoshika's pressence in the palace. Yoshika is making the remedy under Seiga's orders, while Seiga is dressing herself as Shoutoku said to her.
Miko: Greetings, father. It has been a while since we met last time.
Shoutoku: Yes, certainly.
Miko: Father, I would like you to meet her.
Kokoro: Greetings, Your Highness.
Shoutoku: Please, do not be so polite. Please introduce yourself to me.
Kokoro: I am Hata no Kokoro, daughter of Kawakatsu. I am currently staying with Mamizou at her shelter.
Shoutoku: Ah, so you are the daughter of Kawakatsu. I heard he was assasinated?
Kokoro&Miko: He was?!

Shocked, unaware of Seiga's pressence.
Seiga: 'She was the daughter of Kawakatsu I assasinated long ago?! And she somehow is still alive?! I never knew Kawakatsu had a daughter and a wife. I should've been able to murder her that time...'
Shoutoku: Yes, and the assasin is still unidentified until this time.
Kokoro: I can't believe this, Miko...
Miko: I know. I am sorry.
Kokoro: No. It is not your fault...

Kokoro cried and Miko comforted her.
Shoutoku: Anyway, since you are here and all I have been thinking you and Seiga should get married this weekend.
Miko: What?! Are you insane, father?!
Kokoro: ...
Seiga: 'Fufu... soon everyone faces my wrath...'
Miko: Why, father?
Shoutoku: Did you forgot that you proposed her?
Miko: It was all Kaku's force, father.
Shoutoku: Well, I am not certain if I am able to cancel this proposal. Deal with it, whether you will like it or not. Please work up your relationship with Lady Seiga.
Miko: I am truly disappointed...
Kokoro: 'Why do I feel mad? Shouldn't I be happy? Is this what he call...
Jealousy...?'
Seiga: Aha, Miko dear. Let us have a little talk, shall we?
Miko: Fine.
Shoutoku: Have a good time you two.
Anyway, Lady Kokoro. Would you like to take a rest? You seemed tired.
Kokoro: G-gladly...

Kokoro is brought and served to a delight room. It has a complete services and everything that's needed are there.
Kokoro: Thank you. You... can leave now.

Kokoro started to sob. However, she knew that Miko never wished to marry Seiga. So she write a letter to Futo about this.
A few minutes passed, a letter returned. Futo was using a divine letter to write.
Futo (L): I have read your message. And yes, Miko doesn't want to marry Seiga. I have the full story about their relationship, that I am going to write in a short way.
Kokoro (L): Please do tell.
Futo (L): The Kaku's meet the Toyosatomimi to engage Seiga with Miko by force. Seiga told me that she didn't actually like him and wanted to gain popularity and power through the Toyosatomimi family. She knew she had to destroy everything, including you. Not only that, she manipulated the Mononobe and the Soga into war.
Kokoro (L): How did you know that she was manipulating them?
Futo (L): Think about it. She told me that she wanted power. I betrayed her, and so she wanted revenge by using my family and the Soga. Everything is all linked to this evil woman.
Kokoro (L): So does that mean she also murdered my father?!
Futo (L): I am not sure, but it might be true.
Kokoro (L): I need to prevent this marriage. Any idea how?
Futo (L): I've got one. You can plan up a really long Noh play for the so-called marriage. People would fall asleep after, and waste time a little. But to add things up, I'll be sending you a sleeping medicine to make Seiga fall asleep before the marriage. She'll be sleeping until the evening.
Kokoro (L): Seems good. Thank you, Futo.
Futo (L): Good luck.

Meanwhile, Seiga and Miko were talking a lot in the room about some useless things. Seiga went to the kitchen to grab up the drink that has been set by Yoshika.
Yoshika: Thissss... iss the one... wiithh theee rrremmeddyy...
Seiga: Great job as always, Yoshika~! What a cute underling you are! Now hide away before anyone sees you.

Seiga returns to the with the teaset. Seiga gives the cup with the remedy to Miko, and the other for herself.
Miko: 'Hmm...? What is this odd smell? Could this be...? Seiga is plotting something again. I will pretend to do it, though it will pain me and Kokoro a lot. I will have to explain to Kokoro about this at night.'

Miko didn't drink it, but pretended to behave like the effect of the remedy.

Kokoro was coming to find Miko, but to only found Seiga on top of him. Seiga didn't know, but Miko does.
Nigh arrives, he wakes up in the night to walk on the balcony. Kokoro, who returned from the kitchen to drink, saw him. He felt a pressence so he looked to the back to only see Kokoro pass him. Miko grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.
Kokoro: Wh-what are y-you...-
Miko: Sshh... Now tell me, were you jealous~?
Kokoro: So y-you love h-her...?
Miko: Of course not. Look, she placed a remedy to make me fall for her. I did not drink it, so be grateful for it.
Kokoro with joy hugged him, and he hugged back.
Kokoro: I am so glad!!
Miko: I am happy to know. Remember that, and please do not ignore me. It pains me to see you do such a thing.
Kokoro: Y-you too...
*kiss!*

Morning, Kokoro is having a conversation with Miko's father in the garden about a Noh play.
Shoutoku: You wanted to act before the marriage?
Kokoro: Yes. I think it will make people happy even more.
Shoutoku: Well, I am also pretty curious about your skills. Why not train for the day and show me what you have got?
Kokoro: Certainly.

The rest of the day, Kokoro spent the whole day practicing Noh act. She practiced until the day before the marriage. Kokoro would also talk to Futo about their plan, and so Kokoro has recieved the sleeping remedy. Miko and Kokoro would talk at night and Miko with Seiga on morning until evening. Before the day of Kokoro's last pratice, Seiga ordered Yoshika to assasinate Kokoro. This time, Seiga is completely unaware of Kokoro's plan. At evening, Yoshika set a crack that could make anyone fell into a deep hole, but Kokoro avoids it. Then Yoshika tried with a poisonous remedy on her tea, but got Miko almost drink the poisonous tea. Many attempts happened until night where Kokoro is standing on the balcony, with Yoshika on the roof. Yoshika planned to shoot then seal Kokoro. But it got reflected and instead shoots Yoshika far, not to be seen anymore.
The finale is coming, and Seiga is all falling.
