It was a few days after Nao's birthday.

He had received a sketchbook as his present.


Whenever he got the chance, he drew pictures page after page,

even when he and his friends were going out to play.


Unlike the days when he would actively participate
with whatever the others were doing,

he would now sit in the corner and try to draw his surroundings.


"Nao, let's play!"

Seiji urged him to join them,

but it seemed like Nao was drifting away from them.


"...I'm not in the mood."

the boy quietly stated, instead drawing lines and curves in a blank page.


Nao smiled as he drew,



as if showing Seiji and the others that he preferred drawing over spending time with them.
