Hello Imara. What would you like to talk about today?

Why do people see things happening, that are wrong..and then simply walk away?

Bystander Effect - is a social psychological phenomenon in which individuals are less likely to offer help to a victim when other people are present. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help.

Wow. So basically, if there are more people around, no one will help because of this Bystander thing...

I am not sure Imara.

And if just one or two people are around, they won't help because they would feel they can't fight the attacker off alone and will just end up getting attacked themselves.

I am not sure Imara.

Well,  I am sure. Any other such phenomenons?

Diffusion of Responsibility is a phenomenon whereby a  person is less likely to take responsibility for an action or inaction when others are present. The individual assumes that others are either responsible for taking action or have already done so.

Oh.
