FLASHBACK

lewis, vivian and ator sat in the front of the minivan, whilst arthur sat in the back, quietly.

the van stopped outside a cave with a sign outside. the sign said nothing, but had a skull on it.

lewis and vivian looked into the cave, whereas ator and arthur kept their distance.

"we should explore!" vivian exclaimed with joy.

ator and lewis agreed, and after a while arthur hesitantly did the same.

lewis lit a torch and walked in, vivian, ator and arthur quickly hurrying after him. they looked around for a bit, finding long cracks in the walls. arthur had his hands on lewis' shoulders, lewis gave him a sense of protection.

they kept walking, walking, walking, until they came to 2 paths. one going right and one going left. vivian chose to go right whereas arthur and lewis went left. ator was hesitant to go anyway, so instead just kept an eye on lewis and arthur, as the path they went down seemed dangerous.

lewis walked to the edge and looked down, he saw a cluster of spikes. arthur stood behind him and looked around, until his left arm started becoming green. arthur's eyes widened at the sight of this, as did ators, but he was unable to speak.

ator didn't know what was happening; was it light? was it just his point of view? ator kept watching, but felt incredibly worried, nonetheless.

whatever was possessing his arm, eventually managed to possess the whole left side of arthur's body. arthur slowly started walking towards lewis.

ator stared in fright as arthur got closer and closer to lewis.

lewis looked behind him, "arthur?" he said, before arthur pushed him to his death.

lewis fell all the way down to the spikes that penetrated his body.

ator ran towards arthur and ripped his possessed arm off, allowing arthur to snap back into reality. arthur's scream of pain was blood curdling, ator bit into arthur's pants leg and pulled him, arthur followed on.

ator barked for vivian to come, and she did as told.

vivian saw arthur gripping his arm, blood dripping through his fingers, and her heart dropped.

"oh, god! what happened? where's lewis!?" she cried.

"i-i don't know!!" arthur replied.

vivian took off her scarf and tied it around arthur's bleeding stump of an arm, and dragged him to the minivan.

arthur began to pass out, and vivian quickly drove to a mechanics shop.

finally, they reached the mechanic, and vivian ran inside and requested for a mechanical arm to be made ASAP. the worker was hesitant, but eventually agreed.

when he had finished vivian quickly grabbed the arm and shouted "ill pay you later!"

vivian shoved the arm onto arthur. after a few hours of worrying and waiting, arthur finally woke up. he rubbed his head with his mechanical arm. vivian gasped in surprise, "it worked!"

"what wor-" arthur stopped mid sentence and looked at his arm, "you did this?" he said, looking up at vivian, who nodded straight after.

arthur jumped up and ran to vivian, hugging her tightly, "thank you so much, vivi!"

vivian went bright red, "awh, you're welcome, arty."

"hey... but, where's lewis?" arthur asked.

ators ears went behind his head.

"i.. have no idea..." vivian replied, "but surely we will find him soon."

arthur nodded, and rubbed his new arm up and down, "this is neat. did you make it?"

"no," vivian answered "i got some mechanic to do it."

arthur nodded, "that's cool. i kinda like this more than my old arm."

arthur made himself and vivian giggle, but arthur stopped when he remembered how he'd lost that arm in the first place.

arthur's expression went from confusion to terror, "wait... ator... why did you rip my arm off in the first place?"

ators ears went behind his head once again and he looked down, as if in fright that arthur was going to punish him.

arthur just rolled his eyes, "its alright, i guess. this arm is cooler anyways." he said, trying to hide the fact he felt genuine fear over ator.

arthur woke up in a cold sweat, "oh god... lewis.. i killed lewis.." arthur shook his head in denial, "no.. that was just a dream.. he's okay... he's alive.. i didn't kill him.."

"arthur, can you shut up? im trying to sleep here." vivian said sleepily from the back of the minivan.

"oh yeah.." arthur chuckled, "sorry, vivi."

with that, arthur fell back asleep.
