Not long after, you make your way to the zoo. Dudley wanted to visit the reptile exhibit, so of course you did. Now, you stand in front of a Boa cage, where Dudley pushes his way towards the glass as he leans over the railing.

"Move! Move!" The snake doesn't compile, simply staring down at the water below it. "Stupid snake!" The tubby boy runs away, looking for more interesting things to torture. You and Harry stay at the glass, smiling in content at the animal.

"We're sorry about him." You say, a sad grin headed the animals way.

"He just doesnt understand what its like. Having people shove their ugly faces in your business all day." The snake tilts his head, blinking at Harry. Your mouth opens a bit, and you squint at the boa.

"Can you....can you hear us?" The snake nods, its endless black pupils staring into your own (e/c) eyes. "Well then....Ive never spoken with a snake before...."

"Do you talk to people often?" Harry asks, leaning into face the creature. It shakes its head as you see a plaque beneath its glass home.

"You're from Burma, arent you? Did you have a nice family?" It shakes its slimy head, looking down at the plaque. You read further, and see small print saying it was bred in captivity. "I see.....we know what that's like. We don't know our parents either-"

"Mum! Dad! Come look!"

Your head turns to the sound of Dudleys horrendous voice. He throws himself at the railing once more, seeing the now active reptile. In the process, he knocks you over, and Harry takes a step back to avoid collision. You growl, glaring up at the boy. A boiling anger grows in your chest, but the rage also brings a terrible ache onto your back; as if something was trying to sprout from your skin. You bear your teeth at Dudley, and from your peripheral vision you see your appearance. Your pupils seem slit, and your teeth almost look.....pointed? The glass of the boas cage disappears.  The Dudley boy falls through, landing in the water below. You giggle, and the snake slithered from his crate and onto the floor. As it passes you, it halts. It tilts its green skull up, and its small tongue flicks.

"Thankssssss."

"No problem!" You grin, allowing it to slide past. It frightens everyone as it passes, and people flee the exhibit. As Dudley scarmbles to get out of the water, Harry smirks at him, and the glass reappears.

"Mum!" The boy cries, pounding on the glass as Petunia screams at her sons imprisonment. "Mummy, help me!"

You giggle as you stand, seeing that the boy was in no trouble at all, he was simply a coward. Harry smiles as well, but Vernon notices. He stomps towards you both, and you prepare for the worst.

Back at the brick house, Petunia escorts her freezing son into the living room. You and Harry follow in, your arms held captive by Vernons large palms. He shoves you each against the wall, yanking your hair.

"Ow!" You both cry, feeling the stinging pain that came with the tug. He bares his teeth, forcing the two of you to cower against the wall.

"What happened?!"

"We dont know, I swear!" Harry shouts, his voice wavering. You follow suit, defending him.

"One minute the glass was gone and then it was back! It was like magic!" Mister Dursley scoffs at this, and he throws you towards your bedroom door. He does the same to Harry, and you scramble inside and onto the bed, being it was the entire room, for protection. Vernon slams the door behind you, giving a simple shout.

"THERES NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC!"

Days later, you walk from your room, wearing a simple gray dress with a black belt around it. Black flats cover your feet, as well as knee length white socks. You notice a two small sheets of parchment on the ground, and you take them in your hands. The letters have only a seal of four critters on them in a sort of crest, that of recognizable creatures. A lion, a raven, a badger, and a snake. You shake your head in confusion as you see the red stamp with the letter 'H' holding the envelope shut.
