Marina: So Hydra's your name?

Agent 8 nodded.

Marina: Do you remember who gave you your name? Do you like your name?

8 shook her head twice.

Marina: Well, why don't you choose a name that you like!

Agent 8 thought for a moment, then grabbed Pearl's crown.

Pearl: HEY! GIVE IT BACK!

Agent 8 began to use the sharp side to make a scar on her arm.

Marina:  NO! you can just write it down on this paper, you don't have to etch it into your skin like the other one!

Agent 8 dropped the crown.

Pearl grumbled, and reached to pick it up from her seat, but failed and tumbled to the floor.

Marina giggled as she handed Agent 8 a pen and paper.

Agent 8 wrote very quickly on the paper, and then when she was done Pearl grabbed it from her

The paper read, ズムノ

Pearl: What the heck does this say?

Marina peered over her shoulder.

Marina: Oh! that's octoling, not inkling! I can read this... it says... Kai!

Pearl: I think it fits her!

Marina: Yeah, definitely!

A joyful smile spread across Kai's face as she jumped around the train car.

Marina: Pfft... she's kinda adorable.

Pearl: But not as cute as me, right?

Marina: I think it's pretty close!

Marina held her hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter.

Pearl: What do you mean it's pretty close! I am obviously cut--

Marina clasped her hand over Pearl's mouth. The train car became silent, except for hard, rhythmic thumps coming for the train car's roof.

Pearl slowly tiptoed towards a window.

suddenly an octoling smashed through the window, causing shards of glass to scatter everywhere, one slashing Pearl's cheek.

The octoling weakened everyone with her ink, and grabbed Pearl, ready to inject a liquid In a large syringe inside of her.

Pearl was crying, struggling to get away, but the octoling was strong.

Marina lay sprawled across the floor, and tried to reach for Pearl. It was no use. Just as all hope was lost, Kai grabbed the octoling's leg and recoiled as soon as she did, for she tasted of Alchohol. This gave Marina enough time to stand up and run faster than she had ever before and push Pearl out of the way, leaving herself in the octoling's grasp.

The octoling wasted no time to stab the needle into Marina's neck, emptying the greenish blue contents of it into her vein.

Marina gasped and crumpled to the floor, and the octoling was ready to get the others, when she was splatted  by captain cuttlefish's bamboozler.

Pearl groaned as she got up, immediately noticing Marina on the floor, blue liquid dripping from her neck.

Pearl ran over to Marina, skidding on the floor and she worriedly checked Marina to see if she was okay.

Pearl: Marina! Marina can you hear me! Reena please!

Pearl felt for a pulse on the unmoving body. There was none.

Pearl froze. She began to shake her head slowly, dropping down to her hands and knees. Her sobs echoed through the tunnels endlessly, and she felt Marina's body getting colder and more lifeless.

Captain cuttlefish held his head down.

Kai approached them. She cocked her head to the side, confused.

Kai: Sleeping?

Her voice sounded shaky and uncertain, like she hadn't spoken in years.

Pearl shook her head.

Kai: *Octoling garble

Pearl stood up, and roughly pushed Kai away.

Pearl: GO! WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE! IF YOU HAD NEVER COME THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!

Captain cuttlefish: Pearl... She didn't mean any harm.

Suddenly a groan was heard from behind them.

Pearl turned around.

There Marina was, standing up behind them.

Pearl: Oh my god! REENA! YOU'RE OKAY, YOU'RE OKAY,

She ran towards Marina to give her a hug but something was off.

As soon as Pearl reached her she noticed Marina's aqua colored skin.

Marina roughly grabbed Pearl and through her onto one of the walls.

Pearl: R-Reena?

Marina seemed unfazed as she walked towards Pearl.

Pearl: Marina! It's me! Your best friend!

Marina threw a hard punch at Pearl's face,  causing a yelp to escape the small inkling's lips.

She continued to beat up Pearl until she was bruised and cut all over.

Pearl: Reena! What are you doing? Did I do something wrong? I-I promise I'm sorry! Marina I l-love you, don't do this!

Pearl spat out the word love, as if she hadn't said it in a lifetime.

Marina grabbed the syringe, and pulled back so she could stab Pearl with it.

She thrusted forward, then froze.

The top of Pearl's crown made a sharp cut in her neck, where bluish green blood gushed from like a waterfall.

Pearl: oh my god... Nonononono... Godgodgodgoddammit.....fuck....

Both the inkling and the octoling passed out on the floor.
