Chapter 1

Eren's p.o.v

My names Eren Jaeger. Im 17 years old and I have a heart condition. When I was 14 years old a tumour was growing next to an artery near my heart, over time it got bigger and bigger until it finally it reached my heart, by the time any doctor found it, it was too late to be completely removed. I had operation after operation but the tumour just keeps coming back. It has completely taken over my life and I'm now staying full time at the hospital, when I would go to school I would get chest pains and couldn't breathe, it happened to often that my parents decided to take me out and just keep me in the hospital. My doctor, Doctor Hanji Zoe has come to the conclusion that the best for me...is a heart transplant.

I've been on the waiting list for three years now...

I've made a home for myself here at the hospital, I have my own room and I made it comfortable to me. At this moment in time I feel great, I'm not in any pain or feeling depressed or sick. Which I usually do. I'm always hooked up at an IV to keep my vitals up. I'm sat on my bed watching my TV, all boring shows at this time of day.

*knock knock* my door opened. "Afternoon Eren. How are you feeling today?" Doctor Hanji spoke up as clicked her pen to write on her chart.

"I'm feeling really good today" I smiled as I turned of my tv.

"Good now I hope you don't mind, but I have doctor here who's just transferred from the Army, he was the best they had and I'm gonna add him to your case." She turned her head to the door.

"Oh sure you do what you gotta d-" I stopped in my tracks as in came the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He was short with black hair with an under cut, he was black conserves with white laces and wearing navy blue scrubs that showed off his muscles and biceps, his skin was fair white and his eyes...eyes that made you melt looking at them...but also said 'oh I could destroy you..' and I wanted to be destroyed.

"Eren this is Doctor Levi Ackerman." Hanji introduced us. "Doctor Ackerman, Eren." He stood there with his hands in his pockets and just stared at me with a emotionless face. I just stared at him, all of a sudden I felt a throb strike my heart and my hand grabbed my chest.

"Ah- ouch!" I gasped.

"Oh my god Eren you okay? Are you having chest pains again??" Hanji questioned as placed her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm okay-" I was cut off by Doctor Ackerman kneeling now, lifting my shirt and listening to my heart with his stethoscope. I felt my entire face and ears go red as he touched me with his cold hands.

"Your rhythm is good, it's a little fast but it's stable, I guess you just had a palpitation." Doctor Ackerman spoke for the first time. He got up from his knees and put his stethoscope back around his neck. "You should lie down for a bit though." He inserted.

"A-ah yes! I will." I quickly got under my covers.

"Get some rest Eren." Hanji smiled as the pair of them left my room.

Oh my god...I think I might have a crush..but he wouldn't be into a kid like me...I have all my issues...
