Ryuku's POV
It was finally the weekend. The last day of the week was rather messy, seems like a lot of groups finished the project last minute, heh, can't relate. It's only a small victory really but at least now I get to spend some time to myself for a little while-Knock Knock
"I know you're awake"
I sighed, never mind. Quickly getting dressed I opened up to see my older brother Daisuke waiting, still in his pyjamas with a big grin on his face. You see, Daisuke was a year older than I was but we didn't actually grow up together. Our childhoods were actually pretty different which would explain why in many ways we were polar opposites. Daisuke could be described as the literal embodiment of 'a ball of sunshine', always doing his best to cheer everyone around him up.
Hell even down to the hair colour. Technically I'm a natural blonde but I've always hated the way my hair looked so I just keep it dyed brown while Daisuke is a natural brunette but keeps his hair dyed blonde. Though he only dyes it that way because he likes the colour, he is the farthest thing you can get from a delinquent. Well, maybe not he does break the rules sometimes but it's all in the name of 'fun'... whatever that means.
Regardless he's still my brother and the only family I have left so I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a bit overprotective sometimes.
"What do you want bro?"
He grabbed onto my arm dragging me out to the living room with a pep in his step making me crack a small smile. He really did act like a toddler sometimes.
"There's a new season of my favourite show starting and I promised that I'd make you watch at least episode 1"
I just chuckled a bit as I plopped myself down on the couch.
"Alright, alright. I would feel bad if I said no, especially seeing as you got all these snacks out"
"I gotta make popcorn too!"
"Bro there's enough here it's not neces- aaand he's gone"
Daisuke had already retreated to the kitchen. I just facepalmed a little, I haven't even had breakfast yet.
"Hey, while you're in there get me a bowl of cereal!"
"Sure thing!"
I heard him call back. It was days like this that made me feel like I could actually relax. I know it'll only fly by before I have to go back to school again though, but until then, I'll make the best of my brother's antics.
A/N - Short Chapter, mostly because this chapter is only meant to introduce a new character but also because I haven't updated in forever. I noticed there was still some interest even after all this time so I decided to try and kick my motivation into gear. I like to think I've improved over the past 2 years so my writing style might look a bit different. I guess the question is, for anyone who reads this, are you still interested in seeing this story continue? Because if so, I'll work on getting my motivation back up again, not just for this story, but in general (since I've gotten quite a few ideas I want to try writing and other creative mediums I want to start doing again).
