"God, this book is amazing!" I smile in awe at the book gripped tightly in my hands, "My favorite so far is probably Thomas, he's just absolutely adorable!" My fingers trace the title: Immortality Gem. Colton doesn't bother to look up from his work as I continue. "Who knew reading a book about the 1700s would be interesting, huh? Honestly, Mother Allison is probably the most relatable character!"

"Yes, yes, Iris, I understand. Now will you please leave me alone, I'm trying to work?" He dismisses me. My eyes scan over the documents on his desk.

I couldn't help but smirk, "I bet those papers aren't the only thing getting done over that desk." Colton Nevada's face instantly turns a dark Crimson, his eyes glaring at me.

Dexter Ace high fives me, "Good one, kid, holy shit!"

"You're only 16, you shouldn't be talking to someone older than you like that!" Colton remarks. You could obviously see a hint of humiliation in his eyes as Dexter Ace laughs at him.

I shrug with a smug facial expression, "Hey, I'm not the one crushing on a human. What will Harper think of this?" He simply rolls his eyes and proceeds to ignore me. He's such a baby, I was just playin' around!

"Oh, someone's salty," Dexter continues to tease Colton. He's so irritated, it's hilarious!

"Erm..." Jessica Hampton, the one Colton is crushing on, enters the room unexpectedly. Colton's eyes dart to her and he quickly straightens his posture. "Mckenzie has arrived."

"Well, then why are you making her wait, let her in?" Colton said matter of factly, probably trying to sound smart for his love.

Jessica nods and sighs but allows Mckenzie Carlyle, demigoddess of the underworld, inside. She didn't seem too pleased with Kenzie's presence... Suspicious.

"Hello, everyone, what'd I miss?" Kenzie waves at us casually. I jump off my seat and rush to hug her. She responds by returning the hug, "Iris! The only person I'm excited to see! How have you been!? I've missed you! You look so grown up! You look beautiful! How has the goddess of reality been treating you!? Have you finished your studies!? I'm so happy!"

Dexter folds his arms and scoffs, "Well goddamn, I see how it is, Kenzie."

"Sorry, heh..."

"Woah..." Dexter and I suddenly say simultaneously.

"What?" Kenzie asks obliviously.

"You're acting nice..." A smirk plays his lips, "That's a first."

"Shut it, you little bitch!" She spat shamelessly. I couldn't help but smile.

"There she is, we've missed ya," Colton chuckles softly. Kenzie's cheeks redden as she smiles brightly. I spot Jessica out of the corner of my eye turn and walk away, a sorrowful expression on her face. Oh, shit, I think I just spotted a love triangle!

I smile down at the key to open Ghyr Mahdud, a key with the ability to open the machine that could destroy the 5 gods without using its full power. And it's all mine... I feel like a villain at the moment, should I be worried? Nah, I deserve this, it's not like I'll use it against the gods, this won't affect them at all. Unless... I can threaten Donovan with this key, maybe he'll be willing to leave me alone?
