Okay so I am editing this from a computer at the library my phone been bugging and I don't know what to do sooo...enjoy my few updates until I get a new one?
Sweet Pea and I lay side by side, trying to catch our breathe. "That was good." Pea says in a nonchalant tone. "Eh, I'd give it a five." I respond back. Honestly? It was a fifteen, damn Pea is good! But I would never admit that to him, and make his ego grow even bigger, no thank you. I sit up, stretching. "So what happened that's so bad you showed up to my trailer bag in hand?" Pea asks, sitting up too.
I laugh. "What, are we friends now Pea? Cause the most confrontation we've ever had besides the sex was last week when you threw yo half eaten sandwich at me." He laughs. "And you ate it."
"Yeah I wasn't about to waste a perfectly good turkey sandwich.¨"
"So we're not friends, we're simply two people who can't stand each other, but have a mutual respect and bomb ass sex." I nod. "Well you already know my mom is back in town. I went back to my trailer earlier and we got into a fight." I decide to tell him, he nods his head in understanding. I stand up putting on Pea's shirt, I grab a pair of dance shorts from my bag. "You want some cereal?"
"No milk."
"Sandwich?"
"No bread."
"Well what do you have?" I ask rolling my eyes. "Um, chips?" I pull my hair into a ponytail, strands falling down my neck and into my face. I sigh, shaking my head. Pea lays back down. Impossible, I mumble under my breathe. I head into the kitchen opening the fridge, turns out Pea does have milk, it just doesn't smell drinkable. But I do find a couple of bottles of beer, I grab two, and shut the fridge. I find a bag of Lays in the cabinet. I guess we won't starve after all.
There's a knock on the door, causing me to drop the Lays. "Pea, there's someone at your door." I yell. "Answer it." he yells back from the bathroom. "Why would I answer it, I'm the guest?" I yell back. "Just answer it dumb ass!" I groan. "Fuck you!" What type of person makes their guest open their door. When I swing the front door open I expect another Serpent or maybe even Angel, that makes me smile. My smile is wiped clean from my face when I open the door to Mansa.
"Mansa," I don't get to finish my sentence as Mansa takes in what I'm wearing. "What the fuck are you wearing?!" he booms. "Wha-" I look down at Sweet Pea's shirt. Fuck. "Man-man what are you doing here?" I question. "It's funny really, Mom called me looking for you and would you believe my surprise when Toni shows up to school minus two of the Southside Core four?"
I laugh at his little nickname. The Core four. "Only come to find out the the prick is fucking my twin sister!" I swear Pea has the worst timing ever! He chooses now to come out of the bathroom. "What's going on?" he asks. Mansa pushes past me into the trailer. He charges at Pea, tackling him to the ground. "Man-man!" I call out. He's on top of Pea, punching him. I think the element of surprise has worn off, because Pea kicks Mansa in the stomach, standing up, he punches him in the stomach.
The whole time I've been standing by the door, good arm crossed. I shut the door and go to pull the boys off of each other. "Let one of ya hit me I don't care who it is, I'm killing ya both, got it?" I say looking between the boys. "Now you," I back hand Pea in the stomach. "go back to the room and get dressed we're headed to school." Pea opens his mouth to say something but I stop him, "Say one word and I will strangle you right here, right now." He smirks at me, "I love when you talk dirty to me." Mansa makes a growl like sound and Pea gives Mansa the death glare before heading back into the room.
"And you," I smack Mansa in the back of the head, "come talk to me when you get your shit together."
"I could say the same Meeky."
I purse my lips at my childhood nickname. He only calls me Meeky when he's upset. I head back into the room, knowing Mansa will let himself out. Pea is wearing black jeans, a blue shirt and of course his Serpent jacket. He wears dog tags, and a fist full of rings. I go to grab my bag from the side of Pea's bed. I pull out a black lace crop top, some blue ripped jeans, my favorite leather jacket, and some pink and black Nikes.
I put on a diamond ring that supposedly used to belong to Grandma Topaz, a ring with the a gold snake as the band and diamonds encrusted into it's back given to me by Toni, and a ring that is connected to a bracelet by a chain. I wear a gold chain that used to belong to Mansa, and a diamond necklace Grandpa gave me, and some gold hoop earrings. I take my hair out of it's ponytail letting it fall into waves down my back.
"Why are we going to school?" Pea asks. "Because knowing Mansa, he's probably told my mom where I am and if she shows up she'll probably gut you like a fish, school is the last place she'd expect me to be " I respond looking at myself in the mirror. I put some Cocoa Butter on my lips, and my glasses on. "But why do I have to go if she's looking for you."
"Because if Mansa gave her all the gory details then she'll most likely be looking for the both of us, it's like that movie Juice, she won't stop until we're dead.""What do you mean she won't stop until we're dead? And what the fuck is a Juice?" Pea asks. I gasp and turn to face him. "Um, only the best movie ever about a guy who kills all his friends because he think he got the juice." I shake my head in mock disgust. "We're definitely watching it tonight." I make sure I have my keys, lighter and cigarettes. "And this isn't the first time I've been caught hooking up with someone, she drove one of my best away." I sigh, remembering the last guy I hooked up with before moving here.
His name was Khai, we actually began dating after hooking up a couple of times, my first love. But mom found out and he left Chicago early, he was only visiting for the summer. Sweet Pea smirks. "I thought I was your best."
"Not even in your dreams babe."
