A masculine voice interrupts my sleep. "Her blood smells off... but it is definitely human. Thankfully." I crinkle my face and then turned over on the mattress beneath me. My body feels unusually weak.
" Master, I suggest you return her to the human realm," says a soft female voice.
"Not yet..." replies the male voice.
The feeling of fingers trailing down the side of my face causes my eyes to snap open. I realize it's the man and grab his wrist. "What the hell do you think you're doing, mister?" I snap at him, feeling fully awake.
The man met my gaze. " Extraordinary," he murmurs. The tone of his voice sends chills down my spine. I glance at my hand on his wrist and, embarrassed, I let go of it.
My face reddens. "Who are you?" I ask after clearing my throat. I sit up in the bed and examine my surroundings. The room is laced with gorgeous silver. From the window, I can guess that I'm somewhere in the mountains. Soft snowflakes are falling outside and frosting the windows.
The unknown man stands up in front of me. "I am yours, and you are mine." I can't stop my eyes from giving him a once over. The rough cords of muscle tighten as he crosses his arms, and his green eyes flicker as he copies me.
I swallow and avert my gaze. I shakily get out of bed and shake my head. "Well, it was nice knowing you, but I have to go now."
His face hardens and he lets out and an animalistic growl. "You are not going anywhere. You are staying here."
"What the hell do you mean I am staying here?" I demand in a loud voice. I walked over to him, ignoring how he towers over me. I jab my finger into his chest and push him. "You are letting me out. Right now."
"No. You are staying." He swiftly picks me up and carries me over his shoulder.
I scream so loudly that a wave of nausea comes over me.My tennis shoes thump his back as I kick him as hard as I can.
" My name is Axel, by the way," he says while smirking. I scream louder in response.
We reach a door and stop in front of it. Axel reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring of keys. He unlocks the door and throws me onto the bed. "Now be a good girl, and maybe, just maybe, we can have some fun later." Axel winks down at me.
"If by fun, you mean continuing to hold me hostage, no thanks!" I take off one of my tennis shoes and chuck it at the door.He laughs from his safety on the other side of the door.
I walk over to the door and kick it so hard the hinges rattle. This man has kidnapped me for no reason. He could have taken me to the hospital, but instead, he's taken me to the middle of nowhere.
A mountainous view diminishes all my hope that civilization is close. The room is furnished with a bed and a chair. There is one door that I assume leads to a bathroom. The room itself wouldn't be awful if it weren't for the walls painted a school bus yellow.
I stomp into the the ugly yellow bathroom and gasp as I take in the sight of an obsidian shower. I decide in that moment there's nothing that will stop me from taking a shower.
Stripping off my clothes, I step into the beautiful shower and turn the knob on. This is so much better than Apollo's shower. I look at the various shampoos and I notice that most of them, if not all, are feminine.
When I step out of the shower and return to the bedroom, I find a very feminine dress laying on the bed. It was not there when I got in the shower. I sigh. I don't want to get dressed. I just want to get in some pajamas and go to bed.
