Friends
Napabuntong hininga ako at paulit-ulit na binabasa ang reply ni Ryland. This is unusual. I don't know if things would be better or would be worse because of the possible situations na mangyayari dahil sa nasabi niya. I know the people who surround him. Hindi imposibleng maging maingay 'to at maging laman ng media. Both of us came from prominent families.

Napabalikwas ako at bumangon. I'm finding my bunny slippers at balak ko sanang bumaba para pumunta sa kitchen.
Bumaba ako at nakitang naka dim pa ang lights sa kitchen, ibig sabihin may taong nandon.
"Kuya!"
"oh? Ba't gising ka pa? Di ka makatulog?" tumango ako. He opened the fridge and looked at me. "Water?"
"yes please"
He poured some on the empty glass and handed it over to me. I said my thanks and sit on the stool facing him on the island counter.
"buti hindi kayo nag inuman nila kuya tiel?" I asked.
"We have plans on the weekend. Pagkatapos mag basketball ay 'don na lang kami mag-iinom." He said. "About the dinner hours ago..." I stopped looking at the empty glass and looked in his eyes. "Is it true that you and that velo talked?"
I nodded.
"You like him?"
Again. I nod.
"You know him, 'di ba? He may excel in acads pero kupal ang gagong 'yon" Kuya spat.
Ito ang mahirap lalo na't sa aming magpipinsan at sa aming magkakapatid ay ako ang bata. Except the four little children, of course, ako ang bunso sa amin na nasa edad 18-21. My brothers are just so protective because my father said so. Just like my mom, our father wants me being eyed by my big bros.
Kilala ko si Ryland. Not because we're both representatives of the school or dahil sa lagi kaming nagkakasama tuwing event but because our clan knows their family. Hindi nalalayo ang mundong ginagalawan at kinabibilangan namin.
"Nag-aalala lang naman kami, As I can see..." he looked at me and grinned. "You're capable of doing something stupid."
"I am not!"
"You are!"
"Kuya, you're too much! Like lang naman okay? Hindi pa naman mahal! Asa ka naman! Sa dami ng babaeng nali-link 'don! Besides, It's not like you're really mad at him or kayo nila big three." And I crossed my arms. "takot lang kayo kasi pare-parehas kayo ng gawain."
