The Hatake Siblings (Naruto Fan Fiction)

Intro

   The sky was painted a magnificent, midnight blue, stars of many sizes plastered around with the moon smiling down at the world. Beyond the gates of Konoha, a large forest with plump, green trees sits there, it's leaves rustling with the slight wind.

At the gate, two chunin sit on guard, tired and stretching their sore limbs. One who wore his bangs covering the right portion of his face and a bandana, turned towards his partner who had a bandage across the bride of his nose. "Man, Kotetsu, it's getting late and I'm hungry."

The man, Kotetsu, turns and rolls his dark orbs. "Our shift is nearly over, Izumo. Be patient will you. I swear you're like a.. child?" He pauses during his sentence and looks out to see two small figures, one cradling the other in their arms. As the two sillouhettes get closer, their images become clear. A young boy with spiky, brown hair carries a smaller girl in his arms, her silver hair clinging to her dirty features. 

They wobble closer and closer until Izumo and Kotetsu can reach out and touch them. The boy falls to his knees, the small girl still in his small, frail arms. He looks to the two men, his eyes half-lidded. "Please, help h-her. A-atleast her," he mutters, his voice wavering as his loses all his energy and falls to the floor. 

"Izumo, grab the girl," Kotetsu yells, scooping the boy into his arms before they run them to the hospital for treatments. Once they're settled in and being looked at, the two friends return to their posts, gurading the gates to Konoha. 

The one with the bandage speaks first. "What do you think happened?"

"I don't know, but they didn't look good. Did you see how small that kid was? He was even carrying that little girl!" 

They didn't know what to think of the two children, but one thing was for certain. They needed a home, and Konoha would be there every step of the way for them.
