Arachne

A crown nestled among her silver hair,
As she lazes upon her golden throne.

Her voice as sweet as honey,
Her eyes as smooth as stone.

Her fingers weave the prettiest things,
The best seamstress in all the lands.

Athena she dares to insult,
Foolishly challenges the goddesses pride.

Though she is the best mortal,
Athena wins the fight.

And her two gorgeous legs,
Soon become eight.
