Sit atop your golden throne,
Write upon your tablet.
Clio, Lady of History,
Sit above the battlefield,
Writing on your scroll.
Euterpe, Lady of Music and Song,
Clap along to merriment,
Wearing your laurel wreath.
Erato, Lady Of Love Poetry,
Sit among the burning candles,
Reciting your feeling to your music.
Melpomene, Lady of Tragedy,
Sit among the theatre crowd,
Wearing your tragic mask.
Polyhymnia, Lady of Hymns,
Sing in the temples,
At funerals in your veil.
Terpsichore, Lady of Dance,
Move your lithe body,
To the music of the lyre.
Thalia, Lady of Comedy,
SIt among the theatre crowd,
Switching masks with your sister.
Urania, Lady of Astronomy,
Lay under the stars,
Slowly spinning your Globe.
