Troy POV
There was no time to lose, i looked up and was about to yell his name at the top of my lungs but, he jumped and by the looks of it, i had a matter of seconds to come up with a plan to keep my mate from dying. Everything was moving so slowly... I could see Bane falling and it looked like he was falling at a slow rate... My adrenaline was allowing me to think faster than i thought was possible. I knew what i had to do... I shifted to my werewolf form and sprinted to the falls. My entire body ached and was not ready for this kind of pressure, but i didnt care... I needed my mate... I didnt want to live without him let along have him kill himself.... I was a few feet from him as he was a few feet from the ground. I lept into the hair, caught him and encircled myself around him as we crashed into the side of the falls causing rocks to fall.......
Bane: I was flying.... I felt free..... I was going to be with my mate. I looked up one last time and said to myself 'i am coming baby' As soon as i closed my eyes again, i was grabbed and encircled around something fuzzy. We crashed into the side of the falls and i banged my head on the rocks.... Everything was a bit blurry but i managed to stay conscious. Once the rocks were done falling, i moved to get out of the grasp of the furry thing, but it was no use. It was stronger than me.
Troy POV
A few bigger boulders had fallen on me which hurt like hell... But i had to protect Bane in his human form. Once the last of the rocks had stopped falling, i got up and uncurled around him allowing him to see me.... I wanted to see if he still recognized my wolf from
Bane: I looked at the wolf who saved me.... He bore a striking resemblence to Troy.... This wolf must somehow be a relative to Troy.... Why would he be here? I stood up and walked towards Royce and said to the strange wolf "who are you and why did you save me?"
Troy: I did somewhat expect for him not to know who i was, but that didnt mean that it didnt hurt a little. I looked at him and tilted my head to the left a little and then shifted back to my human form and said, "Bane... babe... it-its me." I was in so much pain from dying and from everything i was completely drained. I smiled at him and looked just as the others appeared to in the clearing... Aero with a relieved look on his face
Bane: the wolf in front of me shifted and took the form of my dead mate..... tears filled my eyes as i looked him over.... He looked like he had been to hell and back..... I looked into the eyes of this person. His eyes were the same as my mates.... Could it be true.... Could Troy have come back to me? I smiled and ran over to hug my mate.... I embraced him in a bonecrushing hug and he let out a little moan of pain.
Troy: I could see he was torn up inside... This would take a lot of explaining to do... But then he smiled and gave me a hug. I was still very weak and i moaned in pain and said "b-b-babe... c-can you n-n-not try to kill me..." He then let go of me and laughed as he cried. I began to wipe his tears away.
Aero: I smiled when i saw that they were both ok... I then looked at Merrick and said, "Since we are at a standstill, can you explain what you did to the young wolf?"
Merrick: "Of course. I am one of the last remaining ancients of all creatures. We had the rarest of gifts and the most powerful. I discovered mine had to deal with magic and seal energy. I created a powerful seal that was able to remove the poison from the boy and also remove death from him." I looked down at a seal on my wrist and another chevron was added to the five others. "However, this exacts a tole on me. " I said as i held up my wrist. "For every soul i save, i add a cheveron to this seal. If i reach 20, i will lose all of my powers and start to slowly die. I do not use this frivilously My student had caused a problem and i needed to fix it." I said as i covered up the seal and looked back towards the woods. I then put my hand on the wolfs shoulder and said, "I am going back to the cabin to prepare Amarie for her judgement."
