Paisley was now an angel, sitting by gods side in the heaven above us.
Paisley Wentworth died that day so I wasn't left with another answer, just tears, despair and a million unanswered question.
Today was her funeral, it was at noon and it was now eleven thirty.
I didn't sleep last night, we'll I haven't exactly slept for the past 3 weeks she's been gone for.
I miss seeing her, I miss her laugh, the way her eyes twinkled when there was no light, but mostly I missed her smile.
The smile that would brighten every room when the sun had been gone for hours. And the smile that saved every single piece of me from falling.
I arrived at the funeral. It was a hours drive from where all the guest lived but this was Paisley's wish.
I mean, what girl wants a funeral at a basketball court? Even I thought I was more of a female than her. But that didn't matter, this was Paisley's wish.
I opened the door of my car and placed both of my feet on the ground. Reverna Court, this was the place.
Actually it was kinda familiar, the family park next to it was relatively quite like I remembered, and the uncut grass surrounding the court was as I pictured it.
But I still couldn't put my finger on it.
Brrrrrrrrrr.
I almost forgot, it's the middle of winter and it's absolutely freezing. I shove my hands in my pocket and begin walking to the door.
The basketball court is no warmer than outside except for maybe the body heat from 5 people.
The dark mahogany benches are also familiar, it's like I've been here before, but I haven't.
Like I said before there's only 5 people here, Paisley's parents, her two brothers and the funeral director.
"Mr Wentworth, Mrs Wentworth, I'm sorry for Paisley's death."
"Andew! I didn kno yew wer her. Yo shouldn be soz."
Mr Wentworth seemed unusually calm and happy from his statement. It was almost like Paisley was still alive.
Paisley.
"She ma not be her Andew, but she'll alwa be n here" he gestured towards the heart.
Mr Wentworth was drunk, he was full of crap. Cause he was finally being nice to me. His eyes weren't stern and angry anymore, but stupid and giggly.
You bastard.
"Mr Wentworth are you drunk?"
"Yar why???"
My jaw clenched harder than my fists, it was hard not to punch his gut right here and now. I wanted to spit on his face and yell until no more words of hate could come out of me.
But today was all about Paisley.
Mrs Wentworth was sobbing next to her Paisley's brothers, Tommy & Riley. And that was the only sound besides Mr Wentworths stupid moans that filled the court.
As time passed, more people walked in and more people got disgusted at Mr Wentworth.
11:57 it was nearly time for the funeral, I reached down too my trouser pocket and fiddled around until I felt the satisfaction of scrunching paper.
I wrote my speech this morning cause every other day I just wasn't it the mood, yeah I wasn't in the mood for 22 days.
I mean who's in the mood too write a funeral speech?
Everyone was now seated and funeral director was about to begin, I sat down quietly and patiently waited.
I kept trying to listen to the dude but every time I tried, Paisley caught my eye and I had to distract myself.
The photo placed in the frame was taken around 4 months ago at prom. I remember asking her to prom.
Paisley was a huge fan of that old fashioned cheesy romantic stuff. So when I asked Paisley to prom I threw rocks at her window at midnight and asked her.
Guys no need to be amazed at my romantic ideas.
Oh god I miss you Paisley.
"Now, a few words from her boyfriend, Andrew"
She was so beautiful in that-
"Andrew?"
"Huh?" "Oh right"
I walked over to the stage pass her tomb, the flowers and her parents.
"Here"
I grabbed the microphone off the funeral director and stepped up in front of everyone.
What the heck?
I remember this place.
Oh my god.
This is where I first met Paisley.
Yeah so that was the second chapter...
