Outsiders (DBH Connor x vampire!OC)

Chapter 25

She knocks on Markus' door, the first and at the moment only place she could start looking. 
The door opens revealing a Markus with a sleepy head. The door opens enough to reveal a curious Simon on the bed. 

"I have to talk to Simon about something, if he wants to and if he can." 
"Is it urgent?" Markus asks.

"No, but it needs to be a secret for Connor, and preferably as few people as possible need to know." 

"I'll come to your room in a few. Let me get up from sleep mode fully," she hears from within the room.
"Thank you Si, sorry to have woken you up. I should have considered the time more before acting." 
"It's okay." 
She waves at the two before leaving. 

In her room, she gets dressed before calling Hank. 
"What?" 
"Has Connor arrived yet?" she asks.
"Yes." 
"Can he hear us?" 
"Probably." 

Faith smiles. 

"Tell him to come to me after work. And that he brings the file of Bryan. I don't have information to add him to the timeline yet."
"Sure. That all?" 
"No Hank, could you please keep an eye on Fowler and if Perkins is there, him too. The captain has bruised my trust in him and I need to know I am not getting any more added troubles." 
"Sure thing. Good luck working there."
"You too."

Not what she wanted to ask her lieutenant but she couldn't risk Connor hearing it. 

A knock on her door. She is quick to open it. 

Simon and a uncertain Markus stand in front of it. She lets the two in. 

Markus keeps fiddling. 
"We're unsure what you are going to ask," Simon explains the fiddling, "and he is worried it is something dangerous." 
"It might be dangerous, but not for you. I can assure you that." 

Faith stays silent for  moment, gathering her thoughts.

"Si, you are good with new technologies and stuff, right?" He nods uncertain, not knowing where this is going. 
"Android communicate through an interface to let the other feel what they feel, hear what they hear and stuff like that. It could be intimate, it could be professional," she starts, stopping to consider her wording.

"Is there a way for me to be able to have that in some sense?" 

The two androids look taken off guard. 
"I could make something, yeah. But you might not be able to grasp all the information that is shared, especially not in the beginning. Why the idea?" 
"To give Connor something extra, but also to be able to tell him about what happened before I started at the DPD. Someone has to know the full story but I can't... I can't tell..." her throat closes up. 

"So you want to show him." Faith nods. 
"I'll get started on the plans, it will be like some sort of chip that has to be put underneath your skin. We'll have to make another chip that is connected to your brain someway to make it work." 
"I heal fast. We might need to wait until I have a back up of blood to be able to heal and not loose my mind." 

Simon nods. "Once everything is done, we'll talk about how we'll do it. In the mean time we keep this secret." 
Faith smiles appreciative. "Thank you Simon." 
He smiles back and nods. 
"I have work to do, Markus, you'll have to be my assistant now." there is a teasing in his voice.

The two leave the room, Faith is alone again with nothing to do.
