Gradient took full advantage of his position to show his best dancing skills to the class. In a variety of sequences and tricks, Gradient made the other students awe in surprise. Once he had finished off his sequence, the other kids clapped for the amazing performance. That was then when Gradient realised his own passion for dancing.

Now...

"Oh my god, that was an amazing performance!" a small boy wearing a white cloak and a red scarf came up to Gradient, all excited about the little performance he had shown to the class.

"Really? Thanks!" Gradient replied as the boy gave a smile.

"The name's Goth," he said, bringing up his hand for Gradient to shake. Gradient happily shook his hand as several students behind him were waiting to introduce themselves. Cross didn't show any emotion of impressed as he looked at Gradient with a stern look.

By the end of the huge group, he had managed to go and greet some of the students in the class. First was Goth, Palette, Incubux, Lux, Desire, Sprinkle, Noah, Raven, Cray and Moku. The others were still busy practising but Gradient didn't mind. All the students were really nice and Gradient really loved to be in a lesson with them all. Moving on through the lesson, Gradient got to know the students' dance performances better. After a day's lesson, Gradient was absolutely exhausted but had the best day of his life. Esctatically he skipped his way home.

On arriving on his street pretty late, Gradient went up to Blue's house to collect the keys. He rang the doorbell and waited patiently for the hyperactive neighbour to come. The door creaked open as a skeleton wearing baby blue and an apron stood at the door.

"Hey, Grad! Why are you so late?" Blue asked, looking at the clock that was hung on the wall.

"I... um... went tuition!" Gradient said, trying his best to cover up the lie. He hoped that Blue wouldn't be fooled as he looked down at the kid in suspicion.

"Ok then kid!" he said, handing the keys to Gradient. Taking it, he hurried home and went inside.

Upon returning home, he hid the dancing clothes underneath his bed and continued to pretend to do homework. He heard the door opening as Ink came through, still oblivious to Gradient's extra classes at the dance academy. Gradient had been excelling in his dancing classes however he was missing half of the school day from sneaking out. It had been going on for days until the final day had arrived. The selection round.

Unfortunately, the school had called his parents to come and visit for a meeting. Knowing it would be about his dancing and sneaking out of classes, he rushed off to the café, where Error was busy behind the counter. After he had dealt with the customer, Gradient ran up to him, catching his attention.

"What is it, kid?" Error asked as he stacked some straws.

"Can you come to school and pretend to be my dad again?" Gradient asked, pouting his face. Error gave a look of displeasure before sighing and calling Nightmare.

"Hey, Nightmare! Keep the café up and running! I'll be back in a moment!" Error shouted as he heard a voice of agreement before the kid dragged him to school. Upon arriving at the school, the teachers saw Error walk in and almost pulled him to the headteacher's office.

In there, there were several teachers ready to complain to the 'supposed' dad of his son's behaviour.

"Gradient, I thought you don't have a... mother?" One of the teachers asked.

"Oh, he came after I was admitted," Gradient said shyly, hiding the truth.

After several minutes of rambling from the teachers, Error managed to escape and got out of the office. Before Gradient went running off to the academy, Error stopped him.
