The Date continued...

Depression's POV

Before Lust could close the distance between them, I shoved him out of the chair and onto the floor. Everyone in the restaurant stared in my direction, which made me extremely uncomfortable since I hate having people's attention. I just sorta stood there for a second, frozen in time, Lust gawking up at me from his spot on the floor. I felt my face get hot from everyone's gaze and I grabbed Happiness by the arm, pulling her outside.
"What...what was that all about?"
"I, um... I don't know..."
"I'm not talking about you shoving Lust, because he definitely deserved it... I'm talking about how he had the nerve to do that!"
I stared down at her. "You're not mad that I sorta caused a scene in a really fancy restaurant?"
"I couldn't care less about that right now. But the fact that Lust had the nerve to almost kiss me-!"
I stepped away a couple inches. "Well don't start using me as a punching bag just because you're mad" I chuckled.
She looked at me and laughed. "I really need to learn to control my temper..."
"We all do, Pinky, trust me." I stared off into the distance, the park coming into view down the road the more I looked. "Wanna go to the park?"
"But I thought the date was over..."
"Not even close." I grabbed her hand and started walking, intertwining our fingers as we went.

Happiness' POV

I smiled at the feeling of our intertwining fingers. I can't help it, I'm a sucker for sweetness. After a small walk, we made it to the park and flopped down onto the swings, gently pushing back and forth in unison.
"This is nice, Depression... certainly the best date I've ever been on."
"How many people have you ever dated?"
"Just one..."
"Who was that?"
I looked over at him, a silly grin on my face. "You."
His face turned cherry red. "S-so, we're dating now?"
I nod. He looked about ready to fanboy scream and freak out. I giggled at him.
"You're the nicest person I've ever met, you know?"
"I- I am?"
"Yes! You've been my best friend ever since we were babies, and I've only ever dreamed of the day we would get together as a couple..."
"Well now you can finally put those dreams away, cause it's happened." He smiles and grabbed my hand as our swings came to a slow stop.
I smiled at him. "You really know how to charm a girl, don't you?"
"Only you."
I giggle as I look out at the slowly setting sun.
"Wanna stay and watch the sunset?" Depression's eyes are fixed on it, too.
"Yeah, that'd be nice."
He gently tugs on my hand to get me out of my swing and I walk over. He pulls me down onto his lap and we sit there slowly swinging, hand in hand, watching the sunset.
