Cory's POV

I was logging off of my computer when I heard something from downstairs. I went to go see what it was. I was hoping it was just someone with a surprise visit, and not someone breaking in. That's already happened once, and that time it was just Tommy. It was still  very scary. I thought someone actually broke in!

Anyway, when I arrived downstairs, I didn't see anything odd. I just saw my regular living room. The TV wasn't broken, nothing was out of place, and the room wasn't a mess. I went to go check the kitchen to see if something got in over on the other side of the house. Nothing was wrong over there either. I doubted that someone would enter through the bathroom, so I skipped that room. I circled back to the living room and started thinking that I might've imagined it.

Then I saw it.

There was a black and purple necklace hanging on the front door handle. I could've sworn that wasn't there before. I walked over to it. There was note attached to it.

Dear User of Shadows,
I have sent you this necklace to save our leader and friend. I am known as Shade, or the Dragon of Shadows as you humans call me. Our leader, Ying Yang, has gone missing. He sent us a message that says he was captured by humans. We need your help to save him. There will be others receiving gifts similar to yours, but posses different elements. The others are Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Life, and Death. If you put on the necklace, you'll be able to control shadows. Your weapon that goes along with the necklace is a double-bladed scythe. The necklace also serves as a compass. It will point you towards the place where you have to be. There will be a capsule at the end of the necklace. Open it once you have put it on, a map will appear. Follow the trail until you get to a cave opening. DO NOT go any further than that cave. If you do, you will get lost, and die in the maze. I will be there to guide you, and so will the other humans and dragons. I wish you good luck on your journey.

Author's Note: HELLOOOOOOO! Fireclaw here! I'm really sorry this chapter is so short, but this is probably how long all of the introductions will be. I just want to introduce the Holders of the Elements, how they got their item, and the note each dragon sent them. It will be different every time because it will always be a different person. No introductions will crisscross, or have two characters in one. I want these to be separate and special. Basically my own writing. BYEEEEEE!
