"Hello sweetheart"

Feeling a warm ray of sunshine in your face you turned on your side and opened your eyes looking around nervously at the white child's room you were in. You heard the door gently open and a woman with kind yellow eyes, blue hair that rested on her shoulders, a green apron, a pastel orange shirt, and she was taller than Matt. She hummed and set down orange juice and a small breakfast meat pie beside the bed and she fluffed the pillow under your head.
"Hello sweetheart," she spoke with a voice that warmed your heart.
"Where am I? Who are you?" you croaked and held your throat in pain as the woman picked up a water bottle and handed it to you gingerly. You gave a soft nod and took a sip. Your throat felt a tad bit better and she sat beside you and placed a pillow on your lap.
"Rest now. You have been unconscious for a few weeks now. I took you in and protected you." she gave a smile and her pastel pink lips separated to show beautiful white teeth. The sight made you feel calmer and you took a bite of the pie and it was amazing. It melted in your mouth and the meat inside tasted like a delicacy you could buy for all the money in the world.
"Are you rich ma'am?" You looked at her amazed.
She chuckled and laughed softly as she kissed your head.
"No no sweet thing. I'm not rich I am just a special pie maker. Also call me 'mum' if you'd like." She smiled again and stood up.
You nodded and thought of having a mom. You looked at the orange juice and picked it up and took a sip and ate another piece of the pie.
"Thank you- uh- Mum." You finished the pie and were still hungry. "Do you have more?" Mum said nothing as she nodded and walked away. You smiled and laid on your back forgetting your real parents. Little did she tell you, you were drugged with her food to give you amnesia so you wouldn't remember a thing...
