The New Kid

Joshs POV-

Freshman Year-
Teacher: Ok class! We have a new student this year! Everyone say hi to Josh!
I waved my hand at everyone and they all said hi back. I sat down towards the back next to a girl with red hair.
"Hey I'm Jocy nice to meet you! So josh where do you come from?" She asked me.
"U-Ugh well I was home schooled my whole life this is my first time going to a real school." I replied to her with a smile.
"Well if you're new then what's your power? Are you a high tier? Mid? Low?" Jocy asked scooting closer. Welp I guess it's time to make the choice. Do I tell them? Become the ruler over this school too? No. I don't want that to happen again.
"I-I dont... I don't have a ability." The whole class turned to me and my face flushed.
"Eww! Why did I even talk to you! I think I'm gonna be sick!" The girl grabbed her stuff and moved to a different seat. I looked over and saw three guys staring at me with their eyes glowing. Time for the bullies too.
"Seraphina why are you even sitting next to that cripple? You're the queen of the school! You shouldn't be around nobodies like him!"
Funny how fast people turn on you.
"I don't mind. Plus I don't even want to be queen I've told you all that ten million times just cause I'm the most powerful doesn't mean I want to abuse others!" She yelled at them. Seraphina scooted closer to me.
"Hey don't mind them just cause you don't have any abilities doesn't mean that you're worthless. How about me and you go get a drink later later? What's your number?" Everyone watched in awe as I got the most powerful person at schools number within my first 10 minutes of being here while being a cripple!
As the bell rang I grabbed my stuff and waved to Seraphina.
"See ya later!" She said to me waving.
Wow that was lucky usually the high tiers destroy people like me hehe. Speaking of that....
BAM!
I got slammed into a locker by someone. Wow word goes around fast I guess?
"Hey there little cripple! Wanna play a game? It's called you get on your knees and beg me for mercy and I'll think about not killing you! Know your place cripple! How did you even get into the top school in the country?! Just leave already you're worthless!" He threw a punch at me but I deflected it with my left arm and punched his gut as hard as I could with my right. He fell back and landed on the ground.
"For a cripple you got some fight in you haha now time to pay for that!" He said and activated his ability shooting his laser at me.
It hit me in the right arm as I tried to dodge it and as I fell to the ground I got punched and kicked ruthlessly. This went on for what seemed like forever until they got tired and left me on the ground for dead. For one of the top schools I guess they don't care if their students die? I was bleeding out from the small hole in my arm the laser left. As I was blacking our I heard a familiar voice coming down the hallway.
"Hey! Hey! Josh are you ok? Oh my god I didn't think it would be this bad! You would've died if I hadn't found you cmon I'll carry you to the clinic!" She picked me up and ran my down the empty hall. As we got close to the clinic I passed out.
—flashback—
"Josh? Josh! What are you doing? Just cause you're the king doesn't mean you can pick on people like that!" Sarah yelled at me
"Josh this isn't like you! Ever since you got your ability last year you've been constantly bullying people how would you feel if people did this to you! If you didn't have a power! Go get yourself fixed cause they're clearly something wrong with your brain!" Sarah ran off with tears in her eyes. I didn't realize it but I was crying too.
Everyone was staring at me.
"What are you all looking at!" I yelled sobbing.
"God what is wrong with me!" I yelled again. I ran towards the front doors of the school and barged then open. I ran out into the open field by the playground and fell to my knees.
What have I become?
I'm the one person I didn't want to be.
An evil jerk!
What came over me? Does being king really do that to you? I need to apologize to everyone and....
And.....

Leave.
They don't deserve me. It's only 7th grade and I'm already a horrible person!
As I was about to get up I saw a crowd of people coming towards me.
Led by Sarah.
Oh no.
—end of flashback—
"GAH!" I yelled as I sat up
"Calm down kid you might give yourself whiplash geez. I'm doctor recov you're in the schools clinic. You've been here for almost 2 hours and you're lucky to be alive too thanks to Seraphina you're ok so give her a huge thanks and be more careful next time. Here's a tip stick to the outer hallways and take the long routes the bullies are usually in the middle of the school." I have the feeling that I'm gonna be coming here a lot I thought as he went on talking. I looked over to my right and saw that it was 1:00 pm. I got up grabbed my backpack thanked the doctor and headed to my 5th period. The hallway was empty so I felt pretty safe. Or so I thought.
I took at sharp turn and bumped into someone with yellow hair. I think I might have recognized him from my first period. I dropped all my papers and was ready to get beat up by whoever it was. But to my surprise...
He helped my pick up my papers.
"T-Thanks." I said tying not to pee my pants.
"No problem. Just watch where you're going next time. And put those papers in your bag so you don't drop them. I'm Arlo by the way. And you're the freshman that has no ability. Well I guess I'll be seeing you around bye." He walked past me with a weird smirk while I tried to figure out what the F was going on? I continued my walk to my next class and pulled open the door. Not to my surprise I got lots of death glares from everyone and the room went silent. As everyone started talking again and whispering about me I saw someone wave me over from the corner. It was Seraphina! Thank god I had her in another class period I really didn't want to be bored for the whole day!
"Hey Josh! I'm so happy to see that you're better!" She said grabbing my hand.
"Yeah thanks to you hopefully things aren't like that EVERY day!" I laughed it off but secretly I was worried.
"Oh don't worry I'll make sure that nothing happens to you!" She said squeezing my hand a little tighter.
"Haha thanks so much! But don't worry I know a little self defense I can handle some people I just gotta watch out for the top tiers!" I said worried.
"Yeah don't worry just stay out of the way and everything will be fine!" Things are gonna be great here I started to feel. Besides the bullying things don't seem to bad. I feel like this is gonna be a good year!

And it was a good freshman year bullies here and there but.....
sophomore year was a different story.
That's when things went down hill...
