A Month In Heaven.

I slept through both flights home. Once I was at the airport I took a taxi to my home. I gently opened the door and saw Sadie sleeping on the sofa. I closed he door and put down my two duffel bags and suitcase then locked the door. I crept by Sadie and headed upstairs to my room. To my girl. I gently and quietly opened the door and saw that Nicole was sleeping. I smiled as I slipped in and closed the door. I started stripping down to my boxers and black under shirt. Then gently slid into bed next to her. "Hey beautiful." I smiled as she woke up and smiled when she saw me.
"Danny!" She kissed me and I kissed her back. "Oh, I missed you."
"I missed you more." I pulled her into me and she wrapped her arms around me.
"I have a feeling that there's something your not telling me." She said rather curiously.
"John. Your stepdad. Told me Saturday before Rumble. That the doctors told your family that the possibility of you having children now. Is very slim. But if there's one thing about us." I kissed her. "Is throughout our entire careers. We've enjoyed proving people wrong. But the only way I'm going to even try again. Is if we're married." She started to frown. "So with that in mind." I reached down to the floor pulled up my jacket and pulled a small black box. Nicole clapped her hands over her mouth and nose as tears started to flow. "Nicole Colace." I smiled as I planned this but I was hoping it would be under better circumstances. But you do what you can with what you got. She looked at me as I opened the box to a gorgeous diamond engagement ring, the diamonds were in the shape of her initials. "Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"Yes. Yes of course I will." She giggled as I took the ring out of the box and put it on her finger.
"Before panic sets in. I asked John while I had him on the phone Saturday if I could marry you."
"He apprently said yes."
"Apparently, but to be honest. I would have asked you anyway."
"Well, at least you did it the right way." She kissed me and I laid down and she rested her head on my shoulder, while she had her right arm tucked against her. She rested her left hand on my chest. I gently gripped it and brought it to my lips and kissed it. "I finally have my Billion Dollar Brute home where he belongs." She said as I grinned from ear to ear.
"And for a month. Me and my Billion Dollar Beauty are gonna spend some real quality time together. And possibly. Spend sixty percent of it in bed." I smiled devilishly.
"Looking forward to it." She smiled as I took off my glasses and put them on the bedside table and looked back at Nicole.
"Ooohhh, I swear you look more beautiful every time I see you."
"And you look more handsome every time I see you." She smiled.
"Well, I'm still pretty tired from the flights. So. Good night, Nikks. I love  you."
"I love you too, Danny." She grinned as we closed our eyes and sleep overtook us.

The next morning,
I woke up to see Nicole still sleeping. Then Sadie came in. "I thought those were your bags near the door." She said until I held a finger to my lips.
'Keep it down. Nicole's still sleeping.' I whispered as I gently got out of bed. I walked up to her and we headed to the foyer.
"Well, I bet you made Nicole's night."
"I did. But not with sex or anything like that."
"You..."
"I proposed to her last night." I smiled.
"I'm happy for you. I really am. She's a lucky girl."
"You know. I think I'm the lucky one. I had two great loves in one lifetime. Katherine. Now Nicole. But I won't make the same mistakes with Nicole that I did with Katherine. I'm going to be there for Nicole more than I was with Katherine. I want her to know that she has a man that she can count on, a man that will always be there no matter what. I won't leave her for days at a time like I did Katherine. I'll make sure that she knows that whether we're a part of the same brand or not. I'll always. Always make time for us."
"I know you will Dan." Sadie smiled. "Well, I better get home and get some actual sleep. See you later." She kissed my cheek and left. I locked the door and headed back upstairs and returned to bed. I just watched Nicole sleep for another hour until she slowly groaned, stretched and opened her eyes.
"Good afternoon, Nicole."
"Good afternoon, Daniel." I smiled as did she when we used our regular names, no pet names or anything. I kissed her and she looked at the engagement ring I gave her just hours ago. Soon, I'll be Mrs. Colace-Boyce."
"I actually like the sound of that."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." I kissed her again.
