GRACES P.O.V
I need to escape. I need to get out of here, thank god I'm leaving in a week to restart my life in a whole new state, Seattle.
I think to myself.
My mother is such a hassel. My brothers are so annoying and always invade my privacy.
No, I don't have a dad.. he left us when I was 5 and I don't blame him. Why would he want to marry my mother.. Dang, he was smart to leave us.
" Grace, I'm taking your brothers to the arcade, we'll be back around 7:00, and yes, I expect you to buy yourself some take out." Grace's mother Georgia proclaimed.
"Mom, all the take out places around here suck, and you can't just expect me to walk out onto the street with no money and I could get stolen."
" Grace! Your ninteen years old! Grow up."
" Whatever, I'm going back up to my room, I think I'll just starve myself mom."
" Your're going to walk to town, and get your self something to cook at the supermarket. You're lucky I'm trusting you to cook while I am not home, but if I come home and the house is burnt down, you're in BIG trouble missy."
" Aight." I said while scrolling through twitter
" I left you twenty-dollars on the counter, and no, you can't spend it on a new pair of sneakers or clothing, goodbye!"
" Byee" I mumbled
Once I hear the door close I grab my phone and walk to town to buy myself a box of mac&cheese.
While waiting on line to check out, I unlock my phone and scroll through twitter.
Veronica tweeted " I JUST GOT THE LAST TICKETS TO PAX PRIME! HOLY BOOGERS!"
I call her and hope that she picks up.
" Hey Veronica!"
" Grace! I FREAKING GOT TICKETS TO PAX!!!!!!!!!!!"
" Uh.. What's this pax prime you speak of?"
" It's hard to explain, but the guys of the cube SMP are going to be there! And I got an extra ticket!"
" Whippie" I say with no emotion
" Hey! I'm bringing you silly!
" Veronica, I'm going to have to call you back when I'm home. I'm buying dinner at the supermarket and I'm up next."
" Okay, I'll call ya later."
"Bye." She says and I hang up the phone
Gosh she can be so hyper sometimes...
I grab my bag of food and head home.
LATER
As I finish the remaining scraps of the cheese I hear a knock at the door.
I open the door to find Veronica standind their with her ticket in her right hand and "my ticket" in her left hand.
" Um can I come in?"
" Yeah go ahead."
" GRACE PLEASE COME WITH ME!" Veronica screams out of no where
" Veronica, I know how much you want me to go to PAX, but I just don't want to.. don't hurt me"
" Grace, why can't you go! It's going to be so fun! Plus all of the cube guys will be there!" She tells me as she throws pilliows at me
" Who are the cube guys? Veronica I know how much you want me to go.. but I can't!"
" Why? Why can't you go HUH?"
" Well first of all I'm moving to Seattle in like a week and PAX isn't in like New York. And I have stuff to do."
" OH MY GOD GRACE! PAX IS IN SEATTLE! LOOK HERE!"
Its an email from the hosts of PAX
Dear Veronica,
"We have just sent your tickets and I hope you enjoy Pax Seattle!" Veronica reads outloud
Great
" Fine. I give in. But if you want me to go YOU have to help me move all my crap into moving boxes, deal?"
" Deal!" Veronica says in excitement.
