~Chapter 3~ ~ Change~

   Well, that was three years ago...  Ever since that day, they had to move far far away from their old home. Nebula got up from her snow patch and started to walk out of the den. "Where are you going?" Swift~jem asked Nebula. Swift~jem was like Nebula's mom now. She took care of Nebula, fed her, played with her, and protected her. "I'm going to go hunting." Nebula said, her eyes were gray. "Nebula, your eyes are gray. Are you thinking about your mother again?" Swift~jem could tell when Nebula was mad, sad, or bored because of her eye colors and by her snow, or tails lightning tails she left behind. ~(It was impressing to the pack that Nebula had more than one power. They would think that the oldest of the four ~> (Dire is the oldest, then Evee, thwn Nebula, then Diamond, as the youngest) <~> would have more than one power. They thought Dire should have the extra powers. But strange enough, Nebula was the one to have it, and she wasn't obsessed with her powers like some other wolves where.)~

"I'm good, I just want to go on a walk " Nebula finally answered, slowly. "Well then, you can go, just don't go far!" Swift~Jem houlered as ran out of the den, and into the misty woods.

   Nebula could smell a ton of things at once. Flowers, grass, trees, and... rabbit! Nebula lunged towards the strong scent of prey. Nebula glanced around, catching sight of the white bal of fluff. She paused, then crouched low. But before she could twitch a muscle the rabbit ran into a small hole. Nebula sighed, then walked away.

A new scent filled Nebula's nose once more. She quickly ran towards a bush, then crouched low. What is that? Nebula thought, she saw four yellow things, they moved like if it were walking. Nebula sniffed the air, instantly she could tell what it was. "Wolf!" Nebula softly snapped, lunging out from the bushes! Landing in front of another wolf pup.

The pup was yellow and white with incredibly blue eyes. Nebula could tell it was a male because of his dark pink ear color. The yellow pup skittered around then paused in front of Nebula. "Who are you?!" Nebula said as she lowered her ears and crouched low. "I-I'm s-sorry! Is this your pack's territory?" The pup asked. "Yes, but what are you doing here?" "I-I was just walking around and I.. kinda got lost." The pup lowered his ears.

   Nebula didn't know exactly what to do. The pup was sorry, he really looked like it to, he even submitted to Nebula. Well, really the only thing now to do was to make sure he was out of the territory. But Nebula was curious. She wanted to know more about this pup. Nebula swished her tail, back and forth. The yellow pup remained motionless, he only could watch Nebula as she swished her tail. The pups expression looked like he was ready to dash away at any moment.

   "So? What's your name?" Nebula asked. "A-Alex." He stuttered, then continuing. "A-and yours?" "Nebula." The pup looked more relaxed now. "O-oh, nice name..." Nebula tilted her head, then stood up straight. The pup stood up as well, sort of shaking. "So, where do you live?" Nebula broke the silence. "Not far! My pack's territory is farther off that way." Alex turned to the west. Then he continued. "I just came here to hunt.-" "-Hunt?" Nebula asked, her ears pinned forward now. "Y-yeah." "Here?" "Y-yes. Is that so wrong?" Nebula narrowed her eyes.

   "Well.. If it's in some one's  territory that is not yours." "I didn't know." "Well, it's okay. Since you didn't know. But next time you go to a place you don't know. Maybe sniff first?" Nebula said. "Yeah, okay." Alex now started to swish his tail side to side.

   Suddenly a loud howl rang out through the woods. "oh no. Uhh, I got to go. That is the Alpha calling." Alex lunged forward towards west. Another howl sounded, it was Swift~jem, howling for Nebula. "Oh, I got to go too!" Nebula leaped back towards the bushes.

   "Wait!" Alex called. "Meet here tomorrow at even-tide?" "Sure!" Nebula said, as she leaped over a bush and ran off...
