~Chapter 8~ ~ A diffrence ~

Nebula woke to sounds of howling. "What's going on?" She Asked. Swift~jem came into Nebula's nest. "It's time for your training!" Swift~jem Said. Nebula almost forgot about training! She was doing training when they first moved, but it was hard for her to continue. Especially after her mom just died. But know she is going to train again! Nebula swished her tail in delight!
Finally! Training day! I forgot almost everything I learned last time. I rarely get to do training. "Well, better hurry up and catch up to Winter~fang!" Winter~fang was Nebula's mentor. Nebula ran as fast as she could to join the other pups out side.
Nebula saw Winter~fang heading towards her. "Okay Nebula, finally ready to do training?" Winter~fang asked. "Yes!" Nebula swished her tail side to side. At least there is no school today. So I have all day to train with Winter~fang!
Suddenly Diamond ran out of the den. "Can I come?" She Asked, her eyes wide with excitement. "You'll be going with your mentor, Snow~tail." Winter~fang told Diamond. "Your lucky sis! You get to hunt today! I'll probably be collecting nuts and stuff." Diamond Said. "You may not know it yet. But doing that is a important skill." A voice said. It was Snow~tail! "Hi Snow~tail!" Diamond greeted her. "How about we collect some nuts, then we can do a little hunting. How does that sound?" Snow~tail Asked. "Amazing! Yay! I'm going to go hunting today!" Diamond jumped up and down. "And that means starting now. Stay still and crouch low like this." Snow~tail crouched down into a hunting pose. "Like this?" Diamond mimicked it. "Exactly!" Snow~tail applaud.
   Suddenly Nebula felt something thrust her. She turned and saw Winter~fang turn his head toward some parted bushes. Nebula ran toward Winter~fang. They both padded  through the bushes and out into the wild forest.
   Winter~fang was silent. Are we going somewhere? Soon they reached a place that was new o Nebula. "Whoa!" Nebula didn't wast a second she dropped to the ground, and instantly dropped down into a crouch. Nebula smelled the deep earthy scents of the ground. She started to Scanned the area, looking for any sort of pray.
Soon she caught a glimpse of a small shrew. Nebula slowly made her way towards the shrew. Trying to stay as silent as she possibly could.
The shrew didn't notice her, even if she made some noise. And soon Nebula was ready to pounce. She crouched even lower, then sprang up into the air. Landing right on the animal. The shrew trues hart to escape but my the time it was almost out, Nebula had sank her teeth deep into it. The shrew now dead, lay there in a cold death.
"Well done!" Winter~fang approved.
A thrill ran through Nebula. I haven't caught any pray since a year ago! I almost forgot how amazing it felt!
"Now how about we head for some thing bigger?" Winter~fang said. Did he want to hunt something like a deer?
"Yes!" Nebula said, her eyes filled with delight. Winter~fang lead her farther into the woods. And the farther they went, the more scents came to Nebula's nose.
Soon they arrived at a small lake. Nebula spotted some elk at the other side! Maybe we really are going to hunt animals that big! "Now first thing you need to know, is watch out for the claws." Winter~fang said. Claws?! What dose he mean claws? Has he gone mad?
"Now, you might have to swim. But you probably have to do most of the effort on the beaver dam.~" Oh that's what he meant. I'm going to hunt a beaver! Am I ready for it though? "~Try to stay out of sight. B e careful, and try to move swiftly, and silent as you can possibly be." Winter~fang stated. Nebula nodded, then bounded off.
I'm going to try my best to catch a beaver! Think of what the pack would say if I bring a beaver. Nebula crouched low. A thrill ran through Nebula's paws, as she stepped closer. She waited until the beaver lowered his head, then she moved on. And soon reached the beaver dam. There's a beaver right on the beaver dam!
   With a quick steady leap, Nebula bounded over, and landed right on the beavers tail. The beaver struggled strongly against Nebula's ripping claws. But she did not intend to let go any time soon. She sank her teeth into the animal's back. Trying to cease the movement of it, and his crazy claws. After a few seconds, the beaver stoped moving. Nebula let off her grip. I did it! Nebula cheered her self in her brain. But suddenly the beaver stood up and started to run away! My mistake! Nebula ran and bit the animal again, but this time the beaver didn't get up. Okay, now I did it! "Great job!" Winter~fang gave his applause. Nebula swished her tail with delight.
Soon they arrived to the den. Winter~fang dropped the shrew on the ground. Nebula did the same to the beaver. "Wow! you caught that?" Diamond's tail quivered with excitement. "Mhm!" "Cool! Snow~tail and I collected nuts and raspberry's. Then we went hunting! What to see what I caught?" "Sure!" Diamond swiped a small mouse over with her paw. "Nice!" Nebula started to approach the small mouse. She sniffed it. Nebula turned to diamond, but she was gone. Where did she go? Nebula stood up and started to walk towards the den.
   Nebula rolled on the ground. Her fluffy, silky fur was now filled with dust. "Nebula. Is Diamond back from hunting?" Swift~jem Asked. "Yes" Nebula lifted her head slightly from the ground, and tilted it. "Okay then. Well the pack caught some kill. "Want some?" Nebula shook her head. "No thanks." "No? Your not hungry?" "No." "Okay." Swift~jem turned and picked up some meat. "Nebula, can you tell Diamond that there is some kill ready for her?" "Sure." Nebula leaped up and ran out is the den. Now where is she? Nebula Walked around, then sooo caught eye of Diamond.
   Diamond was playing with some other pups. Nebula was never really interested in playing with them. When Diamond would ask her if she wanted play, Nebula would shake her head and walk away.. Nebula walked up to Diamond. "Oh hey Nebula! What to play?" Diamond Asked. Nebula shook her head. "You kill is ready though." "Oh okay. I'll be back!" Diamond swished her tail slightly up then directly down, as in a way to say, I'll be back. Nebula turned and started off towards the woods. "And where are you going?" A voice asked. Nebula swirled around. There in front of her was standing a gray, white, and icy blue wolf. Her name was Crystal~mist. "T-to the woods." Nebula said, with a feeling she would regret trying to escape there. Crystal~mist was really kind, and she was really good with pups. But some thing about her made all the pups not want to dare do something wrong when she was there. Maybe it was because of  the strong confident look she has. And that she was not afraid to tell on the pups if they disobeyed. "Did you eat?" Crystal~mist Asked. Nebula felt a thrill run through her. "No." "Why not?" "Well, I'm not hungry." Crystal~mist glanced at Nebula's galaxy sparkling eyes. Then turned to the woods. "Tell you what, I'll take you to the woods for a walk. Then we'll see if your hungry after that. How does that sound? Nebula's heart leaped for joy! Oh yes! Crystal~mist is the best wolf to go on a hike with! "Yes please!" Nebula cheerfully Said. "Alright, let's go."
   They both started toward the damp dark forest. Crystal~mist leading they way, and Nebula bounding after her, while gathering the strong smells of plants. Nebula spent time smelling around and  leaping off farther into the forest. It was one of Nebula's favorite things to do. Crystal~mist soon stoped under a huge tree. Nebula walked around the tree, sniffing it and clawing at it. Crystal~mist licked her paw then stood up. Nebula was still uncontrollably walking around the tree. I want to clim this tree. Nebula's mind wondered. "Nebula." Crystal~mist called. "Yes?" "I want to show you my favorite spot that I like to be in." Really? "Okay!" Crystal~mist must really trust me. They both bounded off. "How far is it?" Nebula wondered. "Not to far. But it is hidden." The more deeper they went into the forest the more Nebula's heart raced. She could literally feel her heart pumps, beating faster, and faster. As Nebula heat raced, all she could think about was the pure excitement of Crystal~mist showing her favorite spot to her.
And soon, they arrived at a ivy covered rock. Nebula tilted her head, then started to search for a hole. Crystal~mist pushed through some thing ivy. And for Nebula she tried hard with great difficulty to pass the ivy. Crystal~mist turned to face Nebula. Nebula still trying hard to get through. Come on! This ivy is so thick! But I must get through! Nebula was determined to get through it by her self. Crystal~mist could tell that Nebula wanted to do it on her own. So she gave her some more time. Nebula tried and tried. But no matter what she did she couldn't pass, but she kept on. A glow of pride seemed to fill Crystal~mist. Then she lowered her head and pushed the vines out of Nebula's way. Oof! Nebula dropped to the dirt. Oh she pushed it for me. "Thanks." Nebula smiled. Though most who would want to do it on their own, with no help would get angry at the one trying to help. Nebula never seemed to complain about it when it would happen to her. Even though she wanted to do it on her own, it would just seem natural to her to be nice back. Nebula thought of some pups in the pack who would complain about another helping them when they didn't want help. Nebula never got that. Why would they complain to some one who wants to help? Some times thoughts would cloud Nebula's mind like, why did she never feel mad when some one helped her when she didn't want to be helped?? Why wouldn't she complain like the other pups did? Even when she would be desperately eager to do it on her own, and didn't want any one to help her at all. Nebula's head filled with questions. Suddenly she shook her head. Nebula didn't realize it before, but they made it through a ton of obstacles, and soon there where in a beautiful
    Awesome! Nebula walked up to a crystal blue lake. It was amazingly clear. And Nebula loved that. I love this place! Is this it? Are we at Crystal~mist's favorite place?

   "This is it?" Nebula Asked. "Yes, this is part of it... Come." Crystal~mist lead Nebula out of the cave of trees and out where the sunshine was bright, and waterfalls where everywhere. This is awesome!!

   Crystal~mist and Nebula Walked farther on until they came to an edge.
Nebula looked down at the view as Crystal~mist looked down as well.

   I think I found a new favorite place! 

   "This is a very special place of mind, and I don't mind if you show this place with a few friends but I do have to ask one thing from you," Swift~Jem said. Nebula perked her ears up and tilted her head in a slight but curious manner. "I would be pleased if you don't tell just anyone about this spot. I have learned That if you spread the word unwisely you don't get a good result. So I ask if you only tell you're most trusted friends about this place." Nebula gave a nod then stared back down at the wonderful view.
