It's well know in the human mouth that mermaids are evil creatures who should be put up for hunt. But how did it all started? Also why is there rearly talked about a merman?
It all started when men decided to think that women on boats and ships are bad luck. Many females got trown into the deep oceans unknown of the power they would create. Same with Lara, she was a young innocent girl running from the worlds danger when she realised the hiding place she had, would be her death. "Girl?!", many man would scream and question angry. "What do we do?" "Off the ship with her" They celebrated while her eyes started to fill with water. Like rivers they would run over her cheeks, ripping open her skin. But she was strong, and kept it inside. "Go on, try", Lara treathened the old men. That was the start of the fight. She flew around, giving hits and pushes to everyone close to her. Often one of her legs kicked high against someones face and they would fall hard onto the wooden floor. Groans of pain and anger where the only sounds combined with the wild ocean they were sailing on. But with all her effort they still got her. At least she had tried to put up a fight.
They had tied her legs together same for her hands. a wooden plank laid over the edge of the ship. They pushed her onto it. She stood there over the wild high waves trying to reach for her. She wankled and tried to keep her balance but they had pushed on last time and she was gone. Wind screamed through her hair and ears as if it got tortured till death was its only freedom. The pirates were smart and had put weights on her feet so she would sink and not float on till someone woud rescue her. Lara started to feel the pain in her chest of air running out and her longs that slowly allowed water into them. It burned badly and soon her vision got blurry. She didn't heard anymore and the only view she had were fish that slowly became darkness. She died.
But she didn't went to hell or heaven, like many people believed. The ropes around her legs turned into something more beautiful. The weights were gone and they didn't made her feel as heavy as before. She was floating in the water while others slowly came swimming towards her keeping their distance to adore the stunning change she was making. Her legs were gone and switched for a beautiful Purple scaled tail with big fins on the end. Her hair seemed longer and floated around her like the crazy legs of an squid. Her longs didn't needed air anymore. With a huge headage and burning troat she opened her eyes. Her only thought: "How did i not died?" Other mermaids came to her greeting her with compliments. At first it didn't seem like a languages but she understood them. They were all thrown of boats and ships because of the stupid believes of those retarted men. She now had a new life, under sea. Fish became her friends and the other mermaids were her family. Even sharks wouldn't hurt her, sure not after the terror on her face as she saw one. "What's the matter, my dear", the gentle male shark had asked. Big eyes of fear never left his body. "I won't hurt you, sure not some breathtaking girl like you. They treated you horrible and i know for sure you will be living the best life down here than you ever could up there." Those words had created a bond between the too of them. He was for now on her best friend. Quite cool and strange to say that a shark was her best friend. But to be honest what of this wasn't strange.
The mermaids had taught her how to use your voice to guide ships into big rocks so they'll drown and die. Not with the same ending as she did. They would just go up or down. To the white gades of heaven high above the clouds or down the dark firery door of hell. But using your voice to cause someones dead wasn't an appealing thing to her. Also when she had asked them how mermen existed they got quiet and never answered. So Lara started thinking. What if they actually became mermen if they were deep enough? It was something she believed for years and years. Aging of mermaids was very different than humans. It seemed like she actually didn't got older than 20. Just not old enough to be an aldult in America. She had swam the ocean over and over, back and forth. Up and down. She laid on hidden rocks and practiced a song they had taught her.
One day her years with only mermaids as family were over. Lara saw feet above her at the surface. The sun was shining bright and she could hear his voice raspy screaming at his friends. He was right there, inches away from her. Popping up her head would be too dangerous. But just pulling him down would be cruel so she just opened her mouth and the magically melody cam out casting a spell on him. He dove down to were the sound was and with love eyes he looked at her admiring her every flaw. She took his hand and started to go down deeper and deeper into the darkness. Would it finally happen? A merman by her side. On the bodem of the sea she patiently waited for him to change, but sadly enough it never happend. "Wake up", she would beg with tears not existing down in the water. Her heart had broken again. It hurted bad realising she had killed a man to only make him her lover and not succeeding. But beside the pain she also felt anger. Angry at how stupid she was and how cruel the world was to trow her and not anyone else for example all the men existing on those ships with those horrible minds. Happy killing the female figure walking around on earth like one of their slaves. "Wake up, please", Lara begged again. His clothes gripped tight in her hands.
There she staid for a while spilling unexisting tears over an boy she didn't know. He had a big scar on his face, but it made him so much more adoreable than he already was. He had curly hair and swimming shorts with flowers and leaves. His body was musclar and with the seconds passing by she felt more bad about her previous actions. She dicided to give the guy his last kiss and leave him for good there. His lips were cold and crinkly from the water. "I'm so sorry", were her last words before she disappeared with the crowed of fish passing.
