Souls of Fire

Entrance

The forest was filled with mysterious noises that could not be identified. Dead leaves covered the ground with white mist hanging above the surface. The trees were twisted in a way that it looked as if they had deformed faces.

"W-we are g-going in there..?" Gumball asked hesitantly. "No we are going to stand here and look at it." Flame Prince said annoyed. Fionna drew her sword out of her green backpack. The blue sword glints as she brings it out.

"Woah Fi when did you get that sword?" asked Flame Prince. "When me and Cake went into the enchanted crystal cave, I found it. It cuts through anything! I love it." Fionna smiles after expressing her love for the sword.

Flame Prince loved when Fionna smiled. Her smile shined like a light that could never be put out. Flame Prince started to burn hotter. When he noticed this he smiled and shyly looked away.

They all went into the haunted forest. Everyone kept their composure except for Gumball. Every little sound Gumball would jump. "Guys...." said Gumball.

"Gumball why did you come along if you knew you were going to be scared?" asked Cake. "I needed to analyze data from the forest for a science conference coming up at the breakfast kingdom." replied Gumball.

"So that's the only reason you came?" Fionna said a little hurt. Fionna used to like Gumball. One day she went to the candy kingdom to tell Gumball how she felt.

She told Gumball that she liked him. Gumball understood but didn't feel the same way. He told her that shes too young and immature to date him.

Fionna told him that it was alright and left the candy kingdom. She ran home and buried her face in her pillow and cried. She didn't get out of the house until a week later.

Cake would always try to cheer her up but nothing would ever work. Gumball was the only guy she ever liked. Yeah Marshall would flirt with her but she felt like he was a brother to her.

Fionna snapped out of the past and kept moving through the forest. "Okay so according to the map we should be coming upon the elder tree." Fionna said.
