Near the mouth of the Altamaha River, this cryptid is said to live in small streams abandoned rice fields in southeastern Georgia, United States. The most reported sightings come from Darien and other locations in Mcintosh County.

In 2018 the decomposing remains of an unidentified creature was found on the beach in the Wolf Island National Wildlife Refuge, however later in 2018, a performance artist named Zardulu claimed responsibility for the remains which were crafted out of a stuffed shark and paper mache.

Similar creatures include Champ of Lake Champlain and the Loch Ness monster in the Scottish highlands.
