❝it's snowing again.❞

❝it's beautiful , though.❞

Renjun looked at Donghyuck and nodded softly.

❝it is, but it's also annoying, kind of like you then.❞

Hyuck pretended to be hurt and clutched at his heart.

❝ow, I thought you loved me, Renjun, my heart is aching!❞

❝i also called you pretty, so shut up.❞

Even with the little time they had to get to know each other, Donghyuck and Renjun fit together like a two pieced puzzle.

They had grown a bond that was no like another. Nurses that time to time checked on them and had heard them bicker, could say that it wasn't an ordinary friendship. Both boys acted like they were an old married couple, who have had lived with each other the longest of times, through the worst and the best.

In reality Renjun nor Donghyuck knew much about the other, but that didn't stop them being comfortable around each other.

Renjun in his pure mind thought that he had met an angel. Despite all the nagging, Hyuck treated him well, maybe even too well. With an aching  back he went to assist Renjun to the bathroom, as the latter was scared to go alone, Renjun also didn't know where the restrooms were.

He also thought that Lee Donghyuck was beautiful. The smile that cured sadness and the bed hair that the latter barely touched, worked well with the boy's  button nose and brown eyes that could have been mistaken for the hearts of sunflowers. Hyuck's body was also covered with tanned little stars. If Renjun could've, he woukd have connected them and made constellations. Lee Donghyuck was a universe no one could explain the beauty of.

Just like now. Hyuck's eyes were pressed shut as melodic laughter ran into the room through the latter's soft lips. His hands met and were separated as he clapped with joy.

Renjun smiled, his white pearls showing, but he didn't dare to blink. The sight of Donghyuck being genuinely happy was a once in a life time.

Hyuck noticed the sudden gloomy look of Renjun. Although the small boy was smiling, he knew that there was something on his mind. Donghyuck didn't want to kill the mood, so he continued joking around. Ignoring thw subtle sadness that oozed in as best as he could.

But Hyuck loved the smaller, he was able to admit it. After all, they're a two pieced puzzle, not a hundred pieced or such, There was only the two of them.

Being with Renjun made him feel butterflies, and it was addicting, yet some where deep inside Hyuck felt his heart ache. He was scared to hurt the other. Thus the latter had been careful with his words, but that didn't stop calling Renjun by pet names. He loved to see the person he lowed tinted with pink. It looked lovely on the pale skin, it made the boy look alive.

When the two had their meals, Hyuck observed and made sure that Renjun ate well. After all, he wanted to see Renjun dance one day.

This chapter feels like a filler since it's short and might not be the best, but I felt like I should update this story after so long. Hopefully future chapters will be better.
With love,
Mai
