Prologue

2011:

~Narrator's P.O.V.~

        Alaska Stargaze Tate was just another girl: black hair, dark brown eyes, tan skin, age 15. Her best friend, Lauraine List, though, was a soon-to-be YouTuber.

        "Please, Ally?" pleaded Lauraine, using Alaska's nickname. Lauraine had reddish orange hair and brown eyes. The girls were in Alaska's bedroom in Edmonton, Lauraine fishtailing her long hair to the side, Alaska checking out YouTube. Lauraine was trying to convince Alaska to make a YouTube as well.

        Alaska finally gave in. "Alright, but what will my name be?" She twirled a strand of her medium-length black hair around her finger, deep in thought.

        "SimplyAlaska? LiveLoveAlaska? EEEEEK I KNOW!!! LIVINGLOVINGSTARGAZING!!" Lauraine was now decently hyper and jumping up and down on Alaska's bed. 

        Alaska grinned. "I love it! But girl, I ain't makin' no YouTube if you're gonna keep jumping on my bed!" She waited until Lauraine calmed down until continuing, "so what's YOUR name gonna be?"

        Lauraine dramatically sighed in relief. "I thought you'd never ask!" she exclaimed, "aaanyway, before I can tell you, I need a duh-rumroll!" (A/N: drumroll) 

        "How about..." Alaska quickly snatched a pillow off her bed and threw it at her best friend's head. "YOU JUST TELL ME ALREADY!" 

        "Pfft, fine, fine, you're no fun though!" huffed Lauraine. She tossed the pillow back to Alaska. "It's LauraineCandy."

        Alaska took out the camera and tripod that she had gotten for Christmas last year. "Let's get to work then!"
