All my love turns to pain
I don't like who I became
And so I wrote a poem
With water drops on my face
Dripping gently on my page
I felt my love turn to pain

I saw my love turn to pain
As words fell upon my page
A beautiful song was playing
While I wrote this poem
A song that made me feel the pain
Intense burning, flaming pain
That came to me in this rain
That's why I wrote a poem
