Chapter 3: The escape

Since after I saved John, we were walking around the first floor of the house looking for the front door or even a window. We can not find a window anywhere on the main floor. There were a lot of windows up stairs but jumping out a window on the second floor was out the question. I finally told John that our best hope was to talk to Molly. Even though she still wants to kill us, she knows this house better than us. John agreed after 5 minutes of discussion.

" Molly? Can we have a word please? " I ask

" Whatever! " Molly answers snappy

" I know you want to kill John and I but can you at least give us a map of the house so it's fair game? " I ask trying to sound nice

" Ughh " Molly groans

" Soo is that a yes? " I ask

" Fine but you only have 59 more hours left so I would hurry if I were you. " Molly says

A map appeared once Molly was finished talking. John picked up the map and looked at me with a face that said we were screwed. I took the map from him, as I was looking at it, I noticed that I have not seen anything in this house that looked like what the map was showing. I look over at John and he was on his hands and knees looking at something on the floor.

" what are your looking at John? "

" Do you see this? " he asked

" It looks like matches to me! " I say getting a little excited because I was thinking we could use them to light up the room

" Yes they are matches, let's use them to light up the room " he said

" Ok!! " I say

So me and John light the matches and when we do, the room looks totally different! At first I could not believe this is where we were this whole time. This house was old and not to big. So I did not understand how the trail was taking me so far. That's when I finally notice that the trail was basically taking me up and down the stairs in circles. With that behind me, me and John look at the map in the light. The map was confusing at first because we did not completely understand where we were but when we figured it out it was easy.

" So this map is saying we need to make a right at the staircase and there should be a front door for us to escape. " John tells me

" Ok, so let's make our way to the staircase " I say

Once we get to the staircase we make a right and start to walk. I can see the front door from far away, that's when our match burned out. I look at John to see if he had anymore. He looked at me and shock his head as in saying, nope that was the only one. Now we have no light to make it the rest of the way out.

" John what are we going to do without light ?"

" Lily we have gone the whole time without light what's the difference? "

" well now we know Molly is trying to kill us! " I say

" Just don't think about it, all we have to do is keep walking forward and we should be out in at least 15 minutes " Jong says trying to sound calm

" Fine! " I say when things are obviously not fine

I keep walking trying not to think about Molly but it was hard, I'm scared out my mind. I keep my self together and keep walking. I see the door I start to think this is it!! We are finally out !! I look at John and I see the excitement I his eyes. I reach for the door handle and all I see is John flying backward and hitting the ground. All I see now is blood. I stand there wondering that happened then Molly appears in the corner of the room and says " bring it on "
