"Are you sure you want to do this? Ireland is quite far and you are barely seventeen." said my Mom.
"Seriously Karen, you better come to my wedding on December because if not, I'm going to be hunting after you!" said my oldest sister Veronica hugging me.
"Yeah, yeah, I know that you mean it women. I'll be back." I winked
I looked at me mom and she still had that worried face.
"Mom, don't worry, I'll be fine really. I just need time to myself."
My mom placed her hand on my left cheek.
"I love you." she whispered
I hugged her.
"I love you too mom."
A tear rolled down by left cheek but I quickly cleaned it before I broke the hug. I looked at my dad. I knew this hurt him but he was okay with my decision.
"Never loose focus okay? I love you."
"I love you too dad." I said hugging him.
My grandma's eye's we watery by now. I pulled my grandma to a hug. I don't like it when people think that I won't come back but it breaks my heart when I saw my grandma's.
"It okay grandma, I love you.I'll be back" I said rubbing her back.
"I love you too....wait." she saidShe always gives me her blessing wherever I go. I kissed her hands and hugged her one last time.
" Flight number 24, destination Mullingar Ireland, all passengers head to door number 2."
I felt a pair of hands on my feet. I looked down and saw my youngest sister, Valeria."I'll miss you!" she whinnied.
"I'll miss you too munchkin!" I said kneeling down to hug her. I grabbed my backpack that was on the ground and stood up.
I smiled and walked to door number two. I gave the man my ticket and looked one last glance at my family, they were waving bye.
"Bye...." I whispered waving them back. I started walking down the hallway. I finally made my way to the airplane and stepped in. I found my seat and placed my backpack on top and sat down. I sat down on the seat next to the window. It was day early in the morning. I think it was around 6:00am, don't know. I saw that the sun was taking a peek from the mountains. I was thinking about so many things but someone right next to me interrupted my thoughts and I turned my head around.
"Greg there is no more room to place Theo's belongings." said a lady holding a what was the bag for the baby's belongings.
"I can remove my bag?" I offered. The man and the lady looked at me.
"Oh no it's okay, we can place it somewhere else." she said stopping me from removing my bag.
" Oh no it's okay really, I think I will need my backpack as pillow." I said trying to make her not feel guilty or anything. I looked at the baby and he was smiling at me.
" Because this little fella need's to sleep in mom's arm right?" I said smiling to the baby boy named Theo. He laughed at me. I sat back down in my seat. I took a deep breath.
"Good bye California." I whispered.
