His steps echoed in his mind as he chased her, they needed to go back, they needed to talk to the doctors. He sped up as Hannah did and grasped her with harsh intention, panting and choking as he did.

'Hannah stop! Where are you even going? You don't even know she left, you're not going to find Blake out here. Get back inside, now' Hannah heard him spit. But her thoughts ran counter to the words he had chosen, something isn't right, nothing here is right. She panted and bled conspiracy from her lungs to lips to justify the situation, ordinarily there must have been a reasonable explanation yet she was now failing to find it.

'Listen to me El, there is no footage of her walking out of those doors on CCTV. The nurse we spoke to doesn't even remember her coming in, but one thing i know for sure is that one minute Blake was there in the hospital, and the next she was gone. She was in a private room right next to us, so if you're telling me she got the urge to get up and walk past us to leave without us noticing...'

He looked away.

Hannah struggled out of his clutches and carried herself further from the hospital, she knew where to go, where Blake would go. Dread drenched her brain and bleached her eyes so harshly that she couldn't see that Elliot was trying to calm her- although unsuccessfully as he wheezed her name from behind. The anxiety within was deafening to his words, her own fear blinding, the storm above paralyzing. It fell upon them and made dry clothes wet. Hannah began to feel her legs fall short of her ambition and breath escape her delicate chest, allowing Elliot a chance to grasp at her arms again- and he did as he stared into her. 'Let me find her Elliot! I don't even care if you don't thi-'

'I know. But you can't just go running off into nowhere, I've already lost Blake today d'you think i need another delusional little girl getting lost?' Hannah fell silent. He relaxed his face and sighed with distress, yet he didn't seem any calmer than before. Cold hands tightened their grip, he's hurting me, and released as the girl whimpered. 'I know it doesn't matter what I say because you're going to go off and look for her anyway, but you're not thinking straight. I know where you're going but I also know the woods better than you do since they're literally in my back yard, just let me get some stuff and I'll come with you, okay? Y'know, to make sure you don't get kidnapped or lost or something?'

She considered his proposal for a long few seconds, rain filling the silence and clouds listening intently for some form of response. But she didn't respond. Her arms shook as they slithered away from constraint and Elliot followed as she slipped away into the downpour.

Blake's skin fought to stretch around her curling fingertips, growing glacial under the sinister gaze of the grey Sunday sky. Her breath was shallow, she could hardly breath under his hands so heavy upon delicate ribs- yet she didn't know. She wasn't awake and hadn't been until earlier that day, if you could even consider that awake. The tears she'd cried upon her exit stained her soft cheeks blush, and now glowed a brighter red in the bleak and cold wind. But that wasn't the only reason. He'd hit her- hard. She'd felt his force, the force of the man she'd convinced herself wasn't real, a man she denied herself having seen in her back yard, a man who broke her window last night.

A man who took her from her private hospital bed on a stormy day in November.

The same man who hard dark, dark eyes glaring beyond the mist and into the thick shadows ahead that would hide his private interactions. Raindrops drizzled over jet black hair and onto Blake's pale face as he glared down, yet despite her now seemingly lifeless appearance, he stood paler than the girl. Everything else was dark. Right down to his intention, and boy would Blake soon agree... The other girls would agree.

Elliot dried his blonde hair and threw the towel to one side as he entered the bedroom.

'Hey Han...?' She threw a gaze back at him with query. 'What did you mean when you said the nurse didn't remember Blake coming in?' She paused and exchanged intrigue with him, how is that important right now, why is he talking about that?

'Well, what does it sound like?'

'Han, we didn't speak to a nurse... That's why I was calling you to come back inside. That's the whole reason I chased you'

They paused.

'You don't remember? It was that male nurse, with the pale skin and the dark, dark eyes. everything about him was dark,'
