i facepalmed at the sad parody of the barney theme song and turned my smart tv off.
how did i ever get so bored to the point of watching cringy parodies on youtube?
ah, that's right. i still have to break jungkook's heart.
i hate living alone, it's so boring and dead... i wish i never moved out... argh.
i stretched my long legs on the couch before grabbing my phone. time to text jungko—

"hey queen~" he teasingly cooed as i stepped in his red ferrari.
(a/n: the image at the top 😉)
"hey!" i whined "just because they made me prom queen doesn't make me girly!"
"you've got to admit that if you didn't have such a deep voice and muscles, you'd look like a girl." he replied, laughing.
"oh really? if anyone's girly, it's you with that girly-ass thin waist!"
"maybe i've got a thin waist but check this out." he said smirking while pulling his sleeve up to show his muscles.
damn.
"you have drool on your chin." he winked before handing me a napkin.
"i do not! w-well, ummm..... you're muscles are flatter than a tire!"
"we'll see about that."
"where are we going anyway?"
"to my workplace."
"wait! are you trying to get me to do your job for your lazy-ass? no way!-"
"no, you idiot. i work on friday evenings. i wanted to show you my workplace. it's an adoption center for dogs."
my eyes glistened at the thought. i'm a dog lover, dogs are my weakness. i've always wanted a dog but my father never let me have one... wait! i moved out! could this be my chance?
what snapped me out of my thought was jungkook singing. he was playing the radio and singing one of my favorite songs - his voice sounds beautiful.... angelic and ethereal.
"picture i'm living through for now
trying to remember all the good times
our life was cutting through so loud
memories are playing in my dull mind~"
i decided to join in on the next verse and sang with him.
"i hate this part, paper hearts
and i'll hold a piece of yours~
don't think i would just forget about it
hoping that you won't forget about it"
jungkook smiled and held my hand. his hand felt warm and soft- wait what?
why does my stomach have butterflies?

after a few more minutes, we'd arrived at the dog adoption center. "come on, let's go!" jungkook eagerly yelled before dragging me with my arm to the entrance.
as we walked in, my heart melted. the giant room was surrounded by adorable puppies in cages.
"take a look around!" he said with his bunny smile.
"okay!"
i went towards the cages on the right, filled with pugs and poodles.
"hey baby!" i pet the poodle, it licking my hand in return.
all the dogs were barking at me in excitement... well expect one.
this one puppy was on the left side cage all alone in one cage. it was very quiet for some reason.
"hey cutie~" i called out.
however, the dark coated dog looked at me, it was shivering.
was the dog scared of me?
"it's okay, baby... no need to be scared." i added on before putting my hand out.
it came a little closer and stared at my eyes.
"i won't do any harm.."
the puppy rubbed its head in my palm and barked.
cute.
"you're lucky, tae. that's yeontan. the puppy usually doesn't open up to anyone and is really quiet."
"it's adorable, i wish i could adopt it." i said sadly, looking at it with eyes filled with love.
"maybe next time."
"yeah, maybe next time.."
